Aberdare Park ⛲ is an absolute gem! The park is beautifully maintained with lush greenery, stunning flower beds, and serene lakes.

Free parking available 🅿

It's the perfect spot for a leisurely walk, a family picnic, or just relaxing in nature. The children's play area is fantastic, and there's plenty of space for kids to run around.

I also love the charming café, which serves delicious snacks, drinks, and Ice cream. We tried ice cream it was very tasty.

Whether you're looking for a peaceful retreat or a fun day out with the family, Aberdare Park has something for everyone. Highly recommend a visit! ⭐

Beautiful park and gardens, dog friendly on a lead. Cafe, lake with peddle boats in summer, children's playground and splash pad, tennis courts and bowls! Love walking my pup here, so many beautiful views and wildlife to see

A prime example of a Victorian Era park. Opened in 1850 this is not just a community park but an historical site too.

Covering quite a large distance this makes for a great walk, exercise or workout, family fun time and more. There is a huge grassy area in the middle of the park which is perfect for a picnic or for outdoor games.

The lake is full of ducks and geese, often in large flocks and add a touch of character to the park. You can grab a coffee from the little cafe and sit on a bench and enjoy the nature & view.

The varied trees here are awesome with so many species. It's really quite something. Check out the nice rose garden too and the Victorian architecture dotted around.

We are lucky to have this in our town.

A lovely 150 year old Victorian park that covers nearly 50 acres. There's lovely walks through beautiful gardens, a boating lake, a large children's play area, a splash park, a chip shop/ ice-cream parlour and lots of history. My wife and I visit often and enjoy the walks. 5/10/23 they have started locking the top gates at 6:20 pm. 14/12/23 they start locking the gates at 4:50 pm now.

It's a lovely clean park, where you can walk around. There is a enclosed children's park and a lake. There are rose gardens where you can walk around and look at the beautiful flowers. It also has a cafe and toilets, disabled ones as well. In the summer months the grass is so green and autumn you can see the changing colours of the trees. It is a lovely place to walk dogs, too

One of my favourite days out. A dog friendly park with something for everyone. Plenty of space to walk on the track around the park on the walking track. There are squirrels to feed and beautiful flowers and trees to enjoy. There is a fabulous boating lake with lots of ducks and geese to enjoy. Please don't let your children chase the birds. There are public toilets and a cafe on site. There is also a splash pool. There is also organised motor bike racing that happens in the park during the summer.

A jewel in the Crown of Wales!
A beautiful park set in stunning scenery which has to be seen to be believed and which gives the impression of the park extending into the surrounding hills.
Kept clean, and tidy by enthusiastic and capable local volunteers as well as the Park Management Team, it has the benefits of a lakeside cafe serving hot and cold food at reasonable prices, tennis courts, bowling green, rose gardens and a terrific play area for the youngsters. Monuments to benefactors of the park, a Gorsedd stone circle, and a magnificent Coronation Fountain, one of only two in the country and which was built in honour of the coronation of George V.
A truly beautiful place to spend an evening on a stroll through, or to spend some time on the boating lake with the kids on a weekend afternoon.

A pleasant open space with a kids playground, boating lake, tennis courts, shop/cafe and also home to annual motorcycle races. Parking is in quiet streets around the perimeter and entrance is free. A great place to stroll, relax and meet the friendly squirrels.

A lovely park, parking(if you're not walking) can be an issue if it's busy. The ducks are a highlight of the park, there's plenty!

Aberdare Park is such a well-kept haven of a park with a great little area for children to play; there are lovely swing sets for all ages, including adult size. There are also tennis courts, a shop/cafe, a gorgeous boating lake, fantastic scenery to walk around, and plenty of ducks, geese and swans to watch as your site and enjoy the lovely view. If you didn’t know better, you could be anywhere in the world. It has a beautiful vista and is excellent to walk around.

We went on a cold day, and it’s still lovely.
