What a fantastic site, ran by fantastic people. Both Giles and Alison are fully dedicated to creating a loving, welcoming environment for all people to come and enjoy. The Bushcraft activity was thoroughly enjoyed by my 12 year old son, as well as every other child that participated from a whole range of ages. The pizza night was a great meal and all the other little activities that are offered, from the Green Fitness Trail to feeding the animals and collecting the eggs were all ran very well. My wife and son had reflexology with Alison, and both of them came back glowing from the experience. Everything about this place reflects the care and attention that has been put into it, and even though it was busy on a few days, we never really felt it because the spacing of the pitches is done so well, you always have your own little bit to retreat to should you wish. All in all it was an amazing stay, and the perfect base from which to explore all the nearby activities, and come home to at the end of the day to unwind and relax. Thanks so much to you both.

This is and has been mine and my sons happy place since we first discovered it 3 or 4 years ago. It's a campsite like no other with a unique feel, atmosphere to it that I've yet to find anywhere else.

Really lovely campsite. Pitches are big and separated so you don't feel penned it at all. Each one has its own fire pit with wood available to buy on site and grids available to borrow for cooking. Lots to do for the kids - the tyre swing was popular and there's a play fort and you can help feed the animals in the mornings. You can order a cooked breakfast on Mondays and Fridays and highly recommend pizza night on a Monday too! We will definitely be going back.

We have just spent a week here in the forest lodge. Lovely cosy place, such a warm welcome on arrival too. Fantastic find. Great for letting the children run free and not have to worry about them. Interaction with the animals for all ages. Great fun!

We had a perfect holiday camping here. Fantastic for kids, safe setting, sociable if you want it, but private well spaced woodland pitches. Friendly and knowledgeable owners. Great beaches within 30 mins. Plenty of activities on site or close by. Reasonably priced and eco friendly🙂🙂🙂

We had a wonderful week staying at Naturesbase. Alison and Gyles are excellent at everything they do. They’ve created a wonderful, friendly campsite where children can run free and everyone eases into a gentle outdoor life.

The facilities are all excellent and full of lovely individual touches.

We will be back.

A fantastic campsite, with excellent facilities, always clean. Welcoming hosts full of information and added extras like pizza oven and campfires make it a special experience! Safari tents and lodges are also lovely... we've been twice and plan to return! The kids love the hill fort, streams and play barn.

A magical experience of nature and truly sustainable living in every detail. Warm welcome and loving attention to detail everywhere in evidence - for all ages. Camping, homely lodges, a beautiful shepherd's hut, learn about making pizza ovens and much else with the knowledgeable and passionate naturalists Gyles and Alison. School groups, families or individuals are welcomed with tailor-made programmes and food - including fine dining experiences cooked with locally foraged ingredients. NAUTURESBASE has to be experienced to be believed. Really.

A really idyllic spot with lovely, passionate owners. Pitches are limited and cut into their own glades within the site.

This is a haven for families with pizza nights, big barn breakfasts and a morning feed of animals.

Everything is well thought through and there is a touching attention to detail. Almost one of those places that you want to keep as a hidden gem to yourself but 🤷‍♂

Most impressive set up. Farmer man was especially great with the grandchildren. Perfect to let the children go wild in nature.
