Stayed two nights. Very warm and hospitable welcome. First nights food was excellent and reasonably priced. Very good home cooked selection on the menu. The best I have seen in years. Restaurant closed early on our second nights stay due to a family emergency crisis so we missed out on the meals. Breakfast was good with reasonable sized teapot.
We would highly recommend this hotel, restaurant and bar.
We look forward to returning.
Thank you to all of the lovely staff.

For the price, this hotel was excellent value. The food was really good, and the room (whilst dated and sparsely equipped) was perfectly adequate for an overnight stay. The staff were friendly and helpful. Very good overall.

Hotel has a warm friendly atmosphere, rooms are a little tired but this is more than made up for with the food and cheap beer. Reasonable price for a room which includes a free brekkie, what's not to like!

At £55 a night for our stay, including our dog and an excellent breakfast, it was really good value. The room was very clean and homely. Our only regret is that we didnt have time to try the lovely looking menu in the restaurant as the breakfast bacon was the tastiest bacon i've had in a long time...with friends in the area, we hope to be back soon :)

Beautiful grade 2 listed property with some great original features and lots of character.

Very welcoming and friendly people, very easy to talk to and were more than happy to help with anything.

Food is well priced and well made. There is a great selection to choose from (as well as a good range of vegetarian dishes) for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The rooms are a good size with private ensuite shower room and toilet, there is also a built in wardrobe. The room that we stayed in had a beautiful view of the river and surrounding hills.

Definitely in need of a bit of a revamp and a bit of a touch up here and there but I have decided not to give a lover score as this did not affect our stay in any way and as it is a listed property I know that it is very difficult and expensive to replace certain features.

We had a great night sleep even though one of us would occasionally roll onto the other side of the bed where there was a bit of a slope in the bed but didn't bother us too much at all.

All in all would definitely go there again.

Stayed here a few times now. Me and my partner live in south east England.
The last time we stayed was Saturday 1st August 2020 for two nights.

Great price, cosy rooms, nice bar area and fantastic breakfast you get for free.

Right near the Brecon Beacons/black mountain ranges.

Looking forward to coming back in the coming weeks.

Thanks again.
