Dollar Car Rental

I’ve been renting cars for a very long time and I can clearly say this was the worst company to work with. They’re Manchester location on google maps is incorrect and in reality they are located in the Marriott under the name of Hertz. The customer representative was unprofessional and passive aggressive for no reason. He was ill informed about their own product and had us change to his colleague. After an extensive wait with all checks done, the card machine was not working and we ended up leaving without a car. The second representative was very kind but it does not justify the overall experience.

AVOID this company at all costs, pay the extra to go with a proper company.

We recently went to Florida and when we arrived we had to initially wait for 2 hours when we first got there after the long flight to not enough staff on. No other car rental company had queues. That was the first sign something wasn't right.

Next we had a slow puncture which we just sorted. We then looked to add another driver two weeks in and you couldn't do it over the phone. Travelled to the closet at a hotel..... Got there and closed for over a year. So no ones updating the Google local listings. Finally went back to airport to have another hour and half wait, ridiculous. Customers cancelling there booking on the phone and using other car companies. The queue was that big that the other car rental companies asked people to form a line the other way as it was in front of there business so looked like it was there queue. Then when i finally got to the counter the lady and i told her that I need to be added to the booking she replied why have we waited? We could have just gone to where you pick the car up and they add you. Which I explained well no one's asking the customers waiting how they can help. Then it was just added? Nothing to sign.... Nothing.

Then we filled the car the day before, drove the airport and we have been charged for having a full tank? We couldn't fit anymore petrol in the car, drive the airport with no stations en route to then find we have been charged is a scandal.

They also have charged us after cleary saying we don't want any additional charges other than the car, they have charged us premium breakdown and other hidden charges. This company needs investigating as they will be doing it to all there so called customers. Con artists. Please stay clear and pay the extra, trust me.

If you want to wait for 3+ hours for your pre-booked car… go ahead. Avoid this place at all costs.

Avoid if possible

Bad experience! The location of this company is not convenient particularly if you are on a tight schedule.The shuttle bringing you there is specific to Hertz/Dollar and the Marriott's hotel,and you may wait quite some time before to get it.
The staff is not very friendly and they tried to overcharge us an additional day .
This company may look cheap first but at the end lot of trouble and stress
I will not recommend it.
