Worcester guildhall built during the reign of queen Anne to replace a black n white building, was used as a court room where there are cells. Upstairs was for the council meetings. Lots of portraits of former mayors/ monarchs. Events held all year check website, free entry, toilets on 2 floors. Part of the February Worcester living history weekend.

WoW stunning building rich in history ,built during the Georgian era reign of queen Anne.As it was a court there are cells. Lots of portraits of former mayors/ monarchs and timeliness right upto current day. Fuction rooms can be hired. You can peacefully look round alone but staff are on ground floor to the right in offices if require assistance. It truly shows the loss of design we have lost into today's builds. Thank you for such a fabulous time.

Beautiful building, gorgeous architecture, right in the middle of the main high street in Worcester, didn’t have time to go round and look but you can go look round the place, which I’d love to go back and do!

I attended the council-run Black History Month event there. It is superb that Worcester can have such an event.
The mayor hosted a guided tour of the building, which was amazing; from its early beginnings 809 years ago to the ornate building we have today. He mentioned that the guildhall is the people's building and is open to the public on most days, all day. I will be back.
The history of the cells below the court room was especially interesting.

Absolutely stunning venue in the heart of Worcester. We had our wedding ceremony here in August and we could not have asked for anything better. Aimee and Phill were incredibly helpful and made the day run so smoothly :)

A magnificent banqueting hall awaits on the top floor. I was lucky to have a special dinner there last night. I understand that the building is open daily and is well worth a visit.

Here to see the Titanic exhibition which is really interesting but I was also taken with the portraits on display. Will look forward to going back to have a good look around the Guildhall itself

A stunning building which dates back to 1721, extremely well kept with beautiful Italianate ceilings in the Assembly Room. An ideal location for Weddings with large Portraits dotted throughout.

It is a historic building on the High Street, with a beautiful interior. It's worth a short visit and is free to enter. Often there are events such as Craft markets on a Saturday.

This is one of those places that many people walk past and not go in but it really is worth a look. Lots of hidden treasures, gorgeous architecture and the cells are great for kids. The staff are really friendly and knowledgeable about the building. Also great prices for wedding packages...if I wasn't already married I'd definitely think about it as a venue. A lot of places with half the atmosphere are double the price.

Very nice elegant prestige old building. I had my uncles wedding here a few years ago in the big hall they have upstairs. The building is still mostly original and is a very nice place to visit.

Aimee did a great job organising our wedding at the guildhall and the room we had the ceremony in was amazing. This wasn't our original choice but because of the covid restrictions we had this as a back up in hindsight this should have been our 1st choice. The whole building is spectacular with real history and it is a really special place to get married in

Exceptional building.
When it is available, it is free to wander round all the rooms. Incredible interior and exterior. Make sure you go up the stairs and explore all the rooms. Great light fittings and chandeliers.
