An incredible view! An incredible experience. It’s almost like viewing the Alcatraz - San Francisco! 100% worth the visit. It’s a shame it’s a private place/Island that you can’t get to or even have a tour of it.
There is ample parking and it is FREE. The walk along the coastal path is really pleasant. You eventually get to the Beach where people tend to stop. But if you cross the beech and carry on up the staircase, carry on walking, eventually you get to a gap in the grass that leads you down to a old war bunker and a spectacular view of Stackrock Fort. Probably the closest you’ll get and the best photo opportunity too. Highly recommend the visit if your in Pembrokeshire. Check out my other reviews for more tips on Pembrokeshire.

Managed to access via boat overnight... WOW. It's an urban explorer's dream - it feels like you've stepped back in time 200 years, it's impossible to describe what it's like unless you see it for yourself. Please be aware that local knowledge of the tides is a must, especially if planning on visiting at night, as it's very easy to come undone in this area, and access requires some mild 'acrobatics'! Despite being so close to civilisation, you could be on your own deserted island in the middle of the ocean, the only noise being the waves breaking against the base. This was an incredible one to tick off.

Stack Rock Fort O
•The fort that is actually for sale was built between 1850 and 1852, on a small island in Pembrokeshire, Wales.
•The fort was originally designed for two decks of artillery (Gunnery) casemates, but only the first floor was completed and used as a gun deck.
•The first floor accommodated a garrison of one officer and thirty men.
§ It was first placed on the market in 1932 and sold for £160.
•In 2005 it was sold once more for £150,000.
•The fort was sold again in 2020 to a private owner for an undisclosed amount. Land Registry records show that it was sold in January 2021 for £191,000 to a community interest company (CIC).

Looks very interesting as seen from the ferry to Ireland. This is a grade 2 listed building dating from 1850 to 1859. Wikipedia has some interesting facts on it if you want to know more.
The fort has recently been put up for auction (July 2019).
