Orchard Medical Practice

Over the past two weeks my wife and self have had two appointments. The receptionists have been customer focussed and solution driven . A real change. They too face many pressures from the public. Both doctors seen demonstrated great listening skills and had wonderful disposition. Thank you NHS. The greatest institution this country has.

Reception staff are really friendly and helpful. I've never had a problem getting an appointment for myself or my son. They do a very tough job and deserve praise for staying so polite under stressful circumstances. All the medical staff I've had appointments with have been equally as friendly and professional.
Unfortunately you do often have to call multiple times for an appointment, which are snapped up quickly, but this is not a unique situation to this practice. The staff are trying their best given the situation with the NHS, people seem to forget a lot of things are out of their control.
Keep up the good work!

Having registered with Orchard Medical Practice more than 20 years I have nothing but praise for them. Yes, getting an appointment has and is sometimes difficult, but this is all relative imo; emergency appointments are always dealt with promptly.
I'm writing a review now because my son moved to London to Uni in September. In the 3 months that's passed, the GP practice he's registered with have been absolutely terrible and that is NO exaggeration what-so-ever. The appalling or non-existent service received from them has made me massively appreciate both the Broughton Astley main surgery and, living in Ullesthorpe, the branch surgery there. Staff are helpful, knowledgeable and courteous. I for one would highly recommend this practice.

Halfway through booking an appointment yesterday and was cut off due to the poor telephone reception in Sharnford. Went to the surgery in person and the lovely receptionist by the prescription window told me to take a seat - I was seen within 15 minutes. Thank you so much 😊

I have been a patient at this practice for many years and I have always received excellent care. We are very lucky to have this practice in our village. I've always been able to talk to someone, when needed, be that a GP or a nurse. The receptionists do their upmost to make this happen. The GPs genuinely care about their patients, and listen to you, nothing seems to be too much trouble for them. They're very thorough in making a diagnosis, getting to the bottom of symptoms and subsequently getting patients the help they need. The GPs have also gone the extra mile, when I've had a serious or complex problem, by calling to check how I am and how I'm getting on which is very much appreciated. Thank you.

Having moved from another surgery in the centre of leicester, this doctors practice is like another world. They are always willing to help and the bedside manor of the doctors is fantastic. My doctor always goes out of her way to give me the correct information, if she needs to check something I am always called back as promised and referrals done promptly.

I've just moved into the area from Northamptonshire (literally 30mins away), ive been having a few serious health issues for the last year (suffering multiple seizures). For around a year I had no answers from my old gp practice, as soon as I suffered a seizure here in Leicestershire and was taken in ambulance to Leicester Royal, orchard medical practice have given a service second to none. Within a few weeks I had 2 phone calls from a concerned gp, countless tests and finally an appointment with a neurologist where I'm finally on meds for epilepsy. This is something I've been wanting from my old gp surgery for over a year and orchard achieved it all in a matter of a few weeks.

The gp and staff genuinely cared about me and my seizures and getting to the bottom of them. I just want to say thank you so much for everything, I feel I can finally live my life now without fears of multiple seizures and that's all thanks to you guys. First class service.

Just changed practice and all the staff there are very friendly and helpful, nothing too much trouble. My daughter has been a patient there for many years and says how good and efficient they are, I know that the waiting times are not ideal but they do a very good job.

The care and treatment for my wife and I is brilliant, and I am disgusted at the number of non attends costing the NHS a lot of wasted time and money.we have been patients of this surgery for eleven years and would like to say a big thank you.

Saw doctor on Friday , X-ray Monday, on Wednesday saw another GP and had an injection into the offending joint .. very impressed. Many thanks.

My wife has been a patient for a number of years and has a mixture of good and bad experiences. The worst experience was when my wife was constantly under the doctor and kept getting told she had a chest infection it got to the stage where they prescribed antibiotics over the phone without seeing her. It got where we went to an out of hours doctors in oadby who sent us straight to hospital after listening to her chest, at the hospital it was found that she had pneumonia and was admitted in for 10 days. After this episode she kept getting bad coughs we would phone the doctors and although they had my wife's record's they just issued antibiotics without out listening and checking her out.she ended up in hospital another 5 timed in less than 2 years with pneumonia. Thankfully the doctors now offer an appointment now when we phone up

Always been polite friendly and helpful the staff on reception have . Not a easy job to please everyone . But never let me down. So praise all the way 🙏

It's ok. It gets busy and you can always get an emergency appointment.
