Steve Allard and Son Stone Specialists

We recently had our wooden sash windows replaced and these were being let down by the severely cracked and shabby window cills. Our carpenter recommend we contact Steve Allard and Sons and being local, Lewis was quick to come and give us an estimate, and due to their workload, relevant timescales for installation.

The replacement bath stone window cills were fitted by Ollie and Saul, who were very experienced, hard-working throughout and were a pleasure to deal with. They also spliced in a couple of inserts to the stone string above the ground floor windows.

We needed to finish off the cills with mouldings to match the windows, before painting, but we are delighted with the end result, which we feel enhances the whole façade of our Edwardian house and we would certainly recommend them for their expertise. Please see enclosed photos.

Lewis, Steve and their team spent over three years restoring nearly all areas of stonework on the exterior of my house. Their craftsmanship is second to none and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. They've restored what was a tired stone building back to its former glory, and did so sympathetically, working with my architect, local planning and English Heritage. The variety of features, from elegant finials, to complicated balustrade and coping demonstrates their exceptional skills. Even though they were on site most days, they were discreet and ran the project ensuring as little disturbance as possible. I consider myself privileged to have benefitted from their skills and couldn't recommend them highly enough.

Lewis and the team made a great job of cleaning The Water Cure building (previously NatWest Bank). It was important to us to get this done - it was the last job on our list. They had previously repaired the stonework where the ATM had been and did a brilliant job. We had also seen the cleaning they did of Malvern Library so we had confidence in their work. The outcome was outstanding. Not until you see the 'before' pictures do you realise how dirty the building had become. Steve Allard & Son are a pleasure to work with and I would highly recommend them for all stonework.
