Brilliant stop mid walk or if you are local. Friendly staff, and even helped arrange a last minute taxi for a wedding party. Very cosy with the fire and great range of drinks. Try the Joker IPa🔥. Only had chips 😋but the food we saw looked fresh and well presented.

Great food and good selection of beers. We had fish and chips and cajun chicken burger for mains and sticky toffee pudding for dessert - all were lovely. The staff were very friendly and the service was prompt. Only minor thing is that the pub does smell quite smokey due to the traditional fireplace, which did linger on our clothes a bit.

A dog friendly establishment. The host who, I presume, was the landlord, skillfully managed his staff and made for a busy but effective service. We had evening meal and were courteously and warmly greeted and shown our table. We were served promptly and the food was very good. You will need to book on Friday evenings I think. I'd go back again. The local ale was very good and the wine excellent.

We arrived at this renowned, historic inn for dinner without a reservation. It was fairly busy with a mix of locals and visitors. The manager immediately found a really nice table for us. The food, for the price was very good, the service excellent and the vibe friendly and welcoming. If I stayed in this lovely town, I'd definitely become a regular.
Super place which I will be going back to.

Have visited twice while on holiday with friends. There are six of us and we have enjoyed brilliant food on both occasions. All the staff have been very friendly and efficient. The waitress from Tullibody scored a ten when dealing with one of our group making a strange request for desert - Sticky Toffee Pudding with MILK. Most impressed when she asked how the milk was! Well done!!! Great atmosphere and only an hour away from home. We may even be back. Thank you to all The Cross Keys.

Didn't stay (but plan to) and it's fast becoming our favourite lunch stop. It's a picture postcard Scottish country pub which is the kind of place you think doesn't really exist. Really nice food, a great setting and good beer.

1st time eating out for dinner in over a year and boy, was this a good choice. The food was absolutely delicious. A brilliant burger and fantastic chips. Staff were friendly and social distancing was well observed. They was also welcoming to the dog and we were able to sit inside near a nice big fire.

We popped in this lovely old pub for a drink and liked the ambience so much called back later for lunch. The interior is olde world but with a modern feel, lovely open fire and a beer garden. I had soup of the day followed by creme brulee and hubby had a large bowl of mussels with pints of real ale that he obviously liked as he had a few!!. All were delicious. The pub is also dog friendly and the attentive staff provided a bowl of water and treats. We'd definitely go again.

Delicious meals. Would recommend the duck breast and the haggis burger. Root vegetables were so varied and cooked to perfection

Great local, found accidentally. The cask beer is from a local brewery and was superb. The roast beef sandwiches for lunch were excellent. Succulent beef - no skimping on quality or quantity. My wife and I would love to have stayed for another beer but, sadly, with a car waiting, it wasn't possible.
The landlord was welcoming and helpful, the table service couldn't be faulted. For me at least the presence of the very friendly house dog was the proverbial icing and made me feel guilty about leaving my own dog for a few days.
All in all? Heartily recommended as a lunch pit stop or a longer session.

The Cross Keys is one of my favourite food pubs to visit from Glasgow. I've been eating here for years, though sadly not so often during recent times. So I was very pleased to eat there once again today and to find the staff just as friendly and welcoming, the pub as cosy and warm, and the food as hearty and flavoursome as ever. The pub is in a wonderful location at the heart of the beautiful wee village of Kippen, with lots of local walks into which you can incorporate a visit. I recommend a visit.
