A lovely village pub in a pretty location with friendly locals. Great beers and good food all at reasonable prices. Staff couldn't have been any more accommodating. We had prearranged to park our motorhome in the car park overnight and as we arrived they rushed out to get us in the best position and allowed us to plug in. A great find close to Silverstone!

Wonderful village pub, friendly staff and great food at very reasonable prices including gluten free and vegetarian options. Lovely atmosphere where you can relax with friends. Proper fire which is a bonus in cold weather and great pub garden with plenty of seating for sunny days. Highly recommend a visit.

I haven't been here since the new owners took it over, so Saturday was a massive surprise what a difference, great outside space and better use of the indoor space as well with much better seating. Still the same good local Ale and a much better vibe. Would absolutely go again, lastly the bar maid filled the pint glasses to the brim which after all is what you pay for not the stingy pints some establishments serve up with a massive amount of foam on the top why do some pubs do that.

Enjoyed a lovely freshly-prepared lunch here today. A warm friendly welcome, and also a great wood-burning stove to warm us up on a cold, wet day. I need to eat gluten free food (as I am coeliac) and there are plenty of gluten free options to choose from. There is also a separate fryer for chips, so no risk of cross-contamination from that. Thank you!

We found this village pub on the way home to Nottinghamshire from visiting friends in Oxfordshire ……..after googling “good pub grub”, it is just off the A43 and vey close to silverstone and the M1.
The land lady and land lord couldn’t have made us feel more welcome and were so accommodating, the beer was excellent as was the food.
Thank you

This is a hidden gem of a pub. You can stay overnight in your campervan, they have electric hook up and WiFi.
The owners could not do enough for us, we rang to book and was told they stop serving food at 16:00hrs on a Sunday, but if we were late they would sort us out for food.
We arrived an hour after they stopped serving but still welcomed us and let us choose whatever we wanted from the menus and the food was delicious.
The locals were very friendly as was the staff/owners who could not do enough for us.
We will definitely return when we are back in the area. 10 out of 10.

Wow, this place has new owners and what a job they have done. They have really used their imagination to bring fresh ideas to this gem of a village pub. Great atmosphere, great food, locally brewed ales and a very spacious sun trap of a garden and plenty of outside cover if the weather isn't so good.

Friendly local pub serving good food and wide range of real ales. People drive some distance to enjoy the atmosphere. Club room is often used by local societies and for private parties. Russell and co always make you welcome!

I've always loved this pub. Superb beer, good quality pub grub and fabulous old school atmosphere. It's not Michelin star, but that's what makes it so fabulous. Highly recommended.
