What a lovely tranquil place for these horses and donkeys who have had some bad starts in life to be cared for by dedicated staff. Please visit and donate to this sanctuary to help these wonderful animals. FREE to enter. Just donate

This is an absolute gem of a place. Beautiful countryside with lots of horses, ponies and donkeys that have been rescued in quite a number of cases from abuse and neglect or have been given sanctuary for other reasons such as Ill health on the part of the owners etc.
The animals are well cared for and looked after by the highly committed staff who run the sanctuary. As well as the horse paddocks, there's also a nature walk as well and a nice gift shop and cafe run by really friendly staff with the proceeds from the sales also going towards the care of the animals. It's a delightful place in a beautiful location run by lovely people. Can't wait to return again in the future!

Lovely morning visit. The sanctuary is quite small but thoroughly recommend spending a few hours here if you are in the local area. You can clearly see the horses and donkeys are well cared for in big fields. It’s sad to read about their history but amazing to see them all thriving. There is a lovely cafe with lots of food and drink options. No entry fee, just donations so please give generously.

A really nice relaxed place to visit. Large customer car park, friendly staff and a really great cafe (the pizzas look especially amazing). Whether you want to visit the horses or just take a stroll around and escape the hustle bustle this is a great place to visit, dog friendly too!

Fab little place to go with children. Lots of things to keep them entertained. The education room near the toilets was awesome (not very well signposted so don’t miss it). Cafe was fab, park was a little disappointing, they should make it better as this would bring in more through the cafe cause parents would stay longer. Lots of horses and info, kids loved it.

Lovely day out.
Free entry.
Do give a donation, it is a charity.
Staff very friendly and helpful.
Good food and menu choice in Nosebag Cafe.
Large shop with wide range of merchandise and souvenirs.
Pleasant walks round the edge of fields, some paths suitable for wheelchairs, there's hills, and sometimes loose stones underfoot.
Some ponies like a stroke, but do not be tempted to feed them. See the warning notices.
A good day out for any age.
Small childrens playground by cafe & toilets.

Loved my visit to Redwings. Wide open spaces, beautiful countryside, home to all the horses, ponies and donkeys all well cared for and contented. Warmly welcomed and given a brief talk about the centre. Quality menu served in the cafe. Just excellent.

Hidden away just outside Aylsham, once you drive through the gated entrance you find quite a large welcome building with cafe and shop. Large car park too. Lots of paddocks to view the ponies and horses that have been rescued. The gang of little Shetlands are well worth checking out too.

A fantastic place to visit with children and learn about the great work they do. There is a play area for the nippers and Reds Barn has a lot of good hands on activities for children. Really good cafe and a good gift shop too.

The kids love going to see the horses, ponies and donkeys they care for, and it's a nice thing to support if you can. All the volunteers do an amazing job.

After visiting near by Blicking Hall we stopped at Redwings for something to eat and drink. For me (as a vegan) and my partner (veggie) it was a dream...vegan pizza, vegan Christmas pudding, vegan custard...chai tea, oat milk! If only everyone could cater like this...

My partner had a toasted veggie panini that was delicious too.

The quality of food and friendly service topped off our afternoon out.

Redwings is a great charity and using the cafe supports their ongoing work and the choice and quality was great. Thank you 💚👍
