Norfolk Children's Book Centre

Called in on Saturday with our Grandchildren, what an amazing place, full of wonderful books for all ages and abilities. We were all made very welcome, thanks, a brilliant place to visit.

Delightful little gem - Teachers take note - If you are planning a new curriculum or need to refresh your school's library or reading scheme, this is a wonderful place to try.

I was brought here by the teacher wife whilst she perused, extremely friendly and knowledgeable folks. All kinds of books for all ages & reading levels

Wonderful book shop absolutely packed to the gunwales with books, and every book appears to be unique with no duplicates. Cartoons and drawings from authors and artists adorn the walls. ... and best of all... they make a decent cup of tea and coffee. Staff are knowledgeable and can suggest plenty of books you might like based upon your interests and past reading.

Amazing little store wonderful staff its has been a while since I have found a jem of a book that has truly made me cry :) thank you so much.

An amazing selection of books for children of all ages. Staff were really polite and knowledgeable. Could has spent a small fortune in here.

Quite a most delightful find. Two Grandparents, 1 Daughter & two Grandchildren (7 & 11) arrived full of great expectations.... How wrong were we? We had grossly under estimated just how great it was going to be.... Offered FREE coffee & biscuits in comfy chairs, surrounded by the most staggering collection of children's books imaginable. Not only that but the lovely lady who met us had an encyclopedic knowledge of the stock (and the text within) imaginable. She and her assistant understood our grandchildren's likely, reading 'sweet spot', in mere seconds!
We spent a happy 90 minutes in other worlds and this lovely place. We all (and I mean ALL) came away with books we had no idea we needed, but thankful to have discovered.
This is now our must 'go to' destination in Norfolk and we must visit every time we are within 50 miles range.
Just simple, but real, magic.

We visited with our 2 year old by spotting the sign on the main road. So glad we did as the selection of books was really good for all ages of children and the lady who served us was so helpful and friendly, so we treated the little one to a number of new books. Highly recommend and will definitely visit again when in the area 😃

This book centre is one of the greatest places I've ever been for books in my entire life! Wall to wall and floor to ceiling filled with wonderful books! The lady who helped me with was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly too! I will be doing my upmost to get my school involved with this wonderful centre!!!

Fabulous bookshop, with every children's book you could imagine, from birth to teen. Made to feel very welcome with free refreshments. Ladies there were very knowledgeable about children's books and recommended for my little boy whose idea of fun isn't always a book! Will return next time we're in Norfolk.

An absolute treasure trove and quite possibly the best bookshop in the whole world. Fabulous and knowledgeable staff, warm and welcoming atmosphere and the most incredible selection of children's books. I cannot adequately describe what a true gem this shop is, so fortunate to leave close enough to visit!

Just the most fantastic kids' book shop. Down a rarely used country lane it is a secluded cottage stacked with every author you can imagine. Sofas, coffee, biscuits, toys-it's a joy to sit and watch the children explore and engage with so many books while you relax with a hot beverage. Also look out for all the famous authors' doodles on the wall. This is a must do activity if you have children.

Simply outstanding children's bookshop. If I could give it 10 stars out of 5 I would. Complimentary drinks and biscuits, active encouragement to read the books before you buy them, friendly and knowledgeable staff and beautiful illustrations by visiting artists on the walls.

Very friendly staff, a great cup of coffee and so many great books to choose from! We went with a group of children to choose books for their school library and had a bonus storytelling session. Fantastic!

I have never seen such a large collection of children's books in one place! There is something for children of all ages and tastes; from pre-school to teen ( and beyond!) The staff are so helpful in recommending likely authors and genres, and the tea and biscuits are great too!

no trouble finding books for a very discerning toddler, who has many already. kind, sympathetic help & good coffee. for me a surprising pleasure after the anonymity & busyness of city bookstores.

Fantastic, like another world, my children loved it and we will certainly be going back. Great staff too, helpful and a free coffee to keep the adults quiet. Highly recommended.

What a treasure trove of books for children. Knowledgeable staff and the biggest range of books I've ever seen.

Absolutely amazing place! My child's school took us and a group of parents and children as part of an awards day! Will never forget it!
