Love this place. Quiet, dark skies, a couple of decent pubs nearby, fantastic hiking, what more could you ask for? Be if you are looking for creature comforts, this place is NOT for you! No showers, onsite toilets, shop etc...(although there are public toilets a short walk to the Priory)
No log fires are allowed, but BBQ coals are fine.

Love this place!
A good drive down country lanes in the beautiful Ewyas valley. There's free parking and public toilets and the Priory itself is fab.
There is a pub/restaurant on site for food and drinks at decent prices as well as a hotel for overnight stays or you can camp for £5 pp in the basic camp field. It's more like wild camping with a tap in the corner.
Llanthony is a stunning area with beautiful countryside, surrounded by stunning hills and mountains if you fancy a hike.

We stayed here for 3 days it's beautiful place to stay grandchildren loved it there.
Is no playground but there is lots to do lots of walks.,a little Cafe, and a lovely little church, There is a bit of a walk to the toilets and there is no showers but you can take dogs here.
We are already planning our next trip here
The man comes around every morning at around 8.30 to collect your money he is very nice to talk to.

Beautiful site, be prepared for a minimal experience. Perfect as a base for days out in the Brecon Beacons. Great pub nearby and a bar at the hotel a few metres away. One of my favourite places ever.

Beautiful setting for a remote evening camping next to the priory. The perfect stopover on our way to Hay-on-Wye from Bristol on bikes. We booked very last minute and easily fitted in. No faff on arrival as the campsite owner comes round to collect payment in cash in the morning. The toilets (a little walk away from the camping field in the priory car park) were lovely and clean and well maintained, the priory pub was awesome and saved us from the rain and chill! Great recycling and drinking water facilities on site.

Llanthony is a beautiful place. Enclosed by the Black Mountains and with its ruined Priory. It also has an attractive hotel in the ruins and a good pub. The simple nature of the campsite (a field with a tap and national park toilets nearby) suits this peaceful spot.

Solo camping for me, and being "off grid" was exactly what I'd been looking for, and found it here. No phone signal, but a phone box to check in with loved ones. The surroundings are stunning, toilets perfectly clean, and there's options for food and drink within a few minutes walking distance.
A walk over the lane, led me to the river where I walked in the water and found a private spot to swim.
Will most definitely be returning. A must for any photographer

Beautiful, secluded spot right in the heart of a Welsh valley. The road from Hay-on-Wye was definitely more tricky than the route from Abergavenny, but totally worth it! It was just the two of us in our campervan and a bunch of Duke of Edinburgh students on the site, but it was October...!

One of our most favourite places to stay. So beautiful. The Campsite has a tap and that's it! There's a toilet block in a nearby carpark. There's a bar in the priory and the Half Moon Pub within throwing distance.

Camped there on my expedition hike with my scout group and lover it! There was running water in a tap and toilets. Visited the ruins and thought they were awesome. Right on the foot of the brecon beacons

It is what it says on the tin. Amazing ruins nearby to explore. The campsite itself is a grassy field with a tap, garbage containers as well as ablution facilities.

Basic, no toilets or showers on site, public toilets in nearby car park, but the location is amazing. Does get busy on bank holidays.

It's a great little camp site, very basic. But that's the way it should be

Quiet, natural, few facilities and cheap, if you like to wild camp then this is as close as it gets, 2 pubs close, good walking
