The Amble Inn

Had really nice Bacon and Sausage sandwiches (for two) today.

The staff were very friendly. We arrived at 10.45 just before Breakfast finished at 11.
The Staff apologised as Breakfast was nearly done and may be a little dry, as it was under the hot lamps.

I took a quick look, the sausage and bacon looked fine so I ordered two bacon and Sausage sandwiches at £6 each. With two teas that came to £17.

It was serve yourself, but they were good enough to nip in the back for brown bread. As there was no sauce, they were fine with adding beans and mushrooms.

It's a really nice pub, large room, and dog friendly, the tea was nice and came with a biscuit.

FYI light bite menu starts at 11 am, Main menu starts at noon.

One final thought, I regularly stay in Hilton chain hotels and the hot breakfast buffet was as good as any I've had there and better than most. The sausage and bacon were both good quality. At £9.99 I'd fully recommend the breakfast.

We only visited for a meal.
The food, presentation, and service were of high standard. We enjoyed our meal very much in a peaceful, relaxed atmosphere. Staff were all professional and discreet. We would definitely return. The only negative we had was that there was no red onion in the tomato and red onion salad, but everything we had was delicious. Thank you to a greatly recommended team.

Had a really good 2 night stay here, with our dog. Room was really big, had everything we needed in it. Food was very good, good sized portions and reasonably priced. The breakfast buffet was outstanding ! The location was great, only a stones throw from the town. Would definitely look out to stay at one of these inns again.

We only stayed for one night, but we will definitely be booking again when we next visit family. The rooms were very comfortable with all the necessary conveniences to make your stay a breeze.
The meals were excellent, both off the menu and the included buffet breakfast. (Wonderful choice of hot and cold food/drinks)
A special mention must go to the staff who were very pleasant and attentive. Nothing was a problem for them.
Ample parking is provided with security cameras for those with any concerns, and the Inn itself is just a 10-minute walk from the town centre.
A clean, comfortable stay.

We had a lovely 2 night stay. Disabled room was a very large and the en-suite was more than adequate. Very accessible - could do with a squeegee to clear up excess water with it being a wet room. Food was very good - much better than expected. Staff work really hard - nothing is a trouble them. Highly recommend a stay here.

We just had a 3 night winter break to celebrate a birthday and our wedding anniversary and we’re very happy with all aspects of our stay. The manager runs an excellent establishment and goes out of his way to welcome customers and ensure they enjoy their stay at the Amble Inn. The buffet breakfast was excellent and awe tried many of the choices on the menu and none were disappointing, well done to the chefs! All the staff deserve recognition too as everyone was friendly and helpful and certainly enhanced our stay, especially Chris and Molly. We will be back and Thankyou, Chris and Jean Taylor x

Went for a Sunday lunch. Was a complete random visit looking for somewhere decent for lunch around Amble, staff were amazing, food was even better and the service was excellent. Nice to find somewhere that does every day food as well as a carvery (my partner isn’t a fan of a roast dinner) he also likes a lot of sauce and the staff were so accommodating with this, giving him a lot of sauce to go with his food haha. Very decently priced for the food, 100% would recommend and will definitely be returning.

My mam and dad went here for a weekend away for Mother’s Day. Everyone was so helpful but would like to make a big shoutout to Nathan he went out his way to make sure they had an amazing stay. He deserves a lot of praise. Thank you so much. Would highly recommend the prices are fair and the food is lovely.

My partner and I both had a lovely meal at Amble Inn; mixed grill and truffle & spinach topped chicken breast in a mushroom sauce. Both meals were delicious, excellent quality. Staff welcoming and attentive throughout. Highly recommend.

Great 1 night stay, winter23 deal. Room clean tidy and warm. Evening meal delicious had rump steak with chips, bearnaise sauce, then hazelnut roulade with white chocolate ice cream. Dining room/ bar area also clean and tidy. Big shout out for amazing customer service from Daniella, this lady was quick and efficient from warm welcome checking us in, serving us at bar, delivering food to table, check back everything was alright with food, clearing plates away, all with a big smile.

such lovely kind staff and owners and honestly ive been so impressed with the food - its pub grub, but i had the lamb shish and the meat was cooked perfectly and succulently and they have really great beers choices on tap - what more can you want ! i think its a hidden gem in harpenden

Decided spur of the moment to have Sunday lunch, we were not disappointed. Huge portions everything fresh and served hot.
Staff were very friendly and attentive.
Definitely will be back.

This is quite a newly built hotel and a change from some of the others in need of an update! The rooms are a decent size and very clean. The restaurant and bar I liked, a wide selection of drinks and a decent menu. The hotel is located to the south of Amble and less than a mile from the harbour, probably a 20 minute walk away but I was lazy and drove!
There is a Morrisons supermarket and a filling station next door and the Coastal route isn’t far away.
Overall it’s a nice clean modern hotel, well situated with friendly and welcoming staff.

Very nice hotel and restaurant. Rooms are huge and very comfortable and very quiet despite being close to the road. The restaurant has a good menu and is reasonably priced. 10 minutes walk in to town or a few minutes in the car.

The amble Inn is in a great location to visit all places with ease, the Inn its self well worth a visit accommodation, food,bar and staff service excellent..also dog friendly rooms and bar . Book direct for best prices.

what's not to like... very dog friendly.... comfortable clean warm rooms. staff can't do enough for you, excellent food .... central location for the coast.. can't fault

I had a great time eating delicious food at this restaurant. Ben the assistant manager looked after us and gave us great service and was very friendly. He made some great recommendations. Will be back as great service is hard to find

Popped in for some lunch, good value, fish was amazing, pizzas were lovely and homemade. Would definitely consider staying over

We called in here for lunch on the way up the coast to Alnwick and was very impressed. The building is a lovely old style pub/restaurant with a local feel to it. The menu options were good with options to suit everyone and with a local feel to it with obviously fresh produce from the local area. The kids menu was incredible with options most kids will enjoy and beyond simple chicken nuggets and chips most places offer. Add to that the prices and you cannot complain, some of the lunch time light bits are as little as £6 ranging to £10 which for this quality is a very good price. There is a nice little playground for the children to enjoy and a lovely outdoor seating area for when the weather is good which is more often than many people think. Because of its location on the coast and the possibility of getting to a lot of lovely places to visit it is definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

Lovely pub in Amble, clearly had lots of work put in and the Sunday carvery is delicious. Have heard the rooms are really gorgeous as well. Fab!
