Have always received excellent care from this surgery , including after a stroke & subsequent health issues .
Many of the bad reviews here seem to be based on the lack of knowledge re why receptionist need to know the reason for calling... its triage ! Have seen the staff cope with incredibly rude & aggressive behaviour at times with complete professionalism

I was visiting Llanelli to see my Father and had the misfortune to suffer an attack of gout.
After contacting 111 they said I should see a doctor.
Contacted the practice, had to fill in a form for temporary registration.
Had a call within the hour and a face to face appointment same afternoon.
I’m most grateful and impressed with your service.

I have had to attend the surgery several times over the last 6 months. And every time, I have found everyone, to be very polite and efficient. Couldn't ask for better treatment. Well done to everyone there for looking after me so well.

I have been registered here for only a few months now, but the staff and doctors have gone out of the way to help me with the various medical issues I currently have. If it has been an emergency I have been seen same day too so cannot fault it. Well done guys!

Yes, you have to be organised to book yourself an appointment but the queue moves fairly quickly and you got your appointment. Not perfect but its a very busy practice with lot of pressures. I find the staff all very pleasant and courteous as does my wife on all occasions both on the phone or in person.

What I would REALLY like is for there to be an e-mail address as you don't need to phone all the time and bother busy reception (even if the service standard was a response within 24 hours). This would be efficient for certain queries other than the wish to make an appointment. The other wish is that the practice participated in PATIENTS KNOW BEST as I work this with the hospital and my specialist nurse and if the GP's were linked in it would make a lot of sense.
However , as practise its fine for me. Well done

Kind of upset, if I'm honest. Friend recommended this surgery as my last one was impossible to get an appointment at. The reception staff are courteous and a GP I saw with my wife was also very friendly and eager to help.

However, I had a medication review with a nurse recently and they needed me in for BP and weight. I hadn't slept the night before and was very tired, so my BP was understandably a bit higher than usual. My weight has gone up, but over the past 18 months, as I've moved across the country and been in lots of stressful situations for a long period of time. The nurse assumed I had put on over 1st in less than a month because my last GP didn't actually weigh me, but asked for a rough estimate and the last I knew, 18 months ago I was 12st. I explained that it was an estimate and when the last time I was actually weighed properly, but they continued to act and talk as though I'd suddenly put all this weight on.

I've now got a follow up appointment for BP check and I'm dreading it. I was told to buy a BP machine when I can only just afford my rent and bills, and when asked what time I would like my appointment I asked if there was anything a bit later in the day, as this would suit me better. I was ignored and told I'd have another 9am appointment, which at this point I resigned to because I didn't want to cause a fuss.

I haven't eaten properly for the past week as my anxiety and depression has made my eating habits go weird and I'm terrified of getting fat. Thanks a lot. Made my mental health worse by repeatedly ignoring me.

I am convinced we are going backwards.. my husband suffers from blood clots and has had sever pain in his legs . He rings for doc appointment, waits almost twenty minutes for answer to be told no appointments left he must ring at 08:30 so this morning he rings at 08:30 then a thirty minute wait for call to be answered and told he is number 42 in the queue so waits again to eventually be told no appointments!! Explains his history and problem currently to be told by the receptionist who clearly thinks she is a doctor, that my husband can go to MIU at the hospital and ask for a scan .... so, as is required my husband explained for a scan he would need to see a doctor for a referral... receptionist repeats he has to go to the MIU... my husband explained that’s not how it works and he knows this because he works.....charming receptionist says. receptionist says go well if you work on NHS you should know better then!

It is very difficult to see a doctor.I have not yet met mine despite being on thier books for 6 months. Impossible to by-pass receptionist who sees her duty to ensure no access to doctors

Makes it near impossible to order Repeat prescriptions unless you go to the GP physically, the app to order repeats is a joke and shouldn't of changed !! Need more details than applying for a passport to try and get the app to work .
