I visited Barrie Stephen in December after many years and their service is as great as ever.
I had a wonderful experience getting my hair cut by Arti.
She was very professional and explained every step of the treatment in detail. My hair was dry and lifeless when I walked in and full of life when I stepped out! She gave me some great advice regarding hair care, which I have been following and I noticed it improved the health of my hair a lot.
I look forward to coming back as the regular haircuts really do make a difference.

Barrie has been cutting my hair personally for many years now and I've always had a fantastic experience. They've been around for decades and that experience really shines through. Even though I have moved to Shropshire now, I still return to Leicester for my appointments because I wouldn't trust anyone outside of a Barrie Stephen salon with my hair. He makes great recommendations and always helps me choose a style that suits my face shape and my personality.

The team are all fantastic and I love the little touches that make the service so good. Really easy to use online appointments, always a tasty beverage while you're there and a very warm, pleasant chat makes all the difference. Plus I love the selection of products available, it's good to know that you can pick up hair styling products that are really effective but still vegan and sustainable and that you won't find anywhere else.

I always have the best experience at Barrie Stephen Leicester and being well taken care of by Vitalija. This is the first stylist that I can fully trust with my hair. The cut and styling always meet my expectations and she always chooses the right products for my hair type. Thanks to her I always leave the salon with not only a great cut but also voluminous and smooth hair without a greasy effect I used to have at other salons. Thank you!

Been to this salon today for a last minute appointment, what more can I say the service was above and beyond, as always, the salon was very bright fresh and clean, the staff-team there was amazing service from start to finish cold or hot drinks available magazines , lovely seating area, , modern and BRIGHT!! Salon very nice ! The atmosphere there was beautiful, nice vibe too !

okay so the important bit hair cut time , amazing no fault found again I had the salon manager, Arti there her service and skills was incredible straight to my notes to see my hair colour and shown me how I wanted my hair cut and I explained as how I wanted it too , so she understood how she could style it meanwhile the staff , offered more drinks to me or asked if i
needed anything, what more can I say is this salon is Amazing keep going kings street ! I will be back there soon for my next appointment,

I recently visited Barrie Stephen as a new client where I saw Vitalija for a hair cut, and I couldn't be more thrilled with the result! She took the time to understand my vision, and exceeded all my expectations with her expertise and skill. she left my hair feeling incredibly soft and healthy.

I do really enjoy coming to Barrie Stephen’s. I usually get my hair cut with Leah who was brilliant but today had Andrea. As always, the stylists are professional and friendly and Andrea styled my hair exactly as I asked.

Today I wasn’t offered a drink but that’s ok! My only constructive feedback would be that every time I come, I feel pressured to have a hair treatment or take home a product. I know it’s in my best interest to get it but it would be nice to be asked - ‘would you like to hear more about our products?’. Again very minor and I really enjoy coming to this salon.

My mum has been a customer at Barrie Stephen for a number of years due to the high quality work of the stylists.

She also really values how welcoming the team are and the great service they all provide.

I have been coming to Barrie Stephen King St for 8 years. My stylist, Vitalija, is wonderful. She gives honest, professional advice and I always trust that she will do the best for my hair. You get what you pay for and I wouldn’t consider going anywhere else!

If I could give 10 out of 5 I would. Tina and the team could not have made me feel any more special. I felt like a star. My hair is incredible, stunning, I look amazing!! It is the best i have ever looked. I have had so many strangers stop me in the street today and comment how fab my hair is!
Re accessibility - I am in a wheelchair, the salon is all accessible, a small step however to the wash basins and toilets are upstairs, but I managed fine and the team were very supportive and we discussed and tried out the step etc at my consultation so I knew before I went.
My daughter treated me to the experience I feel incredible and i will definitely be going back when i have saved up. A massive thank you.

Got my hair done today by Andrea, just a cut and finish and everything was perfect.
I’m not a fan of having my hair cut due to bad experiences in the past and Andrea did an amazing job at making me not regret my decision to get some of the rusty dusty ends cut off !! She styled it amazingly, and used great products that she recommend for my hair type.

First time going to Barrie Stephen Hair for a colour and had the best experience with Ella. She was so lovely and listened to all my concerns. I really appreciated the welcoming atmosphere and the interior of the salon. I have already booked another appointment with Ella because I feel I’ve finally found the perfect salon and hairdresser for me.

Top notch salon who know all the latest trends - Arti is an amazing hairdresser who has a wonderful personality that instantly puts you at ease. All staff are very attentive and knowledgeable. Love having my hair done here - highly recommended. Cannot wait for my next visit!

Arti has been doing my hair for the last 8 months and she has been amazing! She always listens to what I want and gives me her honest opinion- the last few appointments, I have just let her do what she feels is best for my hair and what she thinks will suit me.

She is knowledgeable and passionate at what she does - and this shows in her level of customer service and being honest with what she thinks will work best.

She has transformed my hair from being dry and damaged to having healthy and soft luscious locks.

She is always there to listen and talk about anything and everything which really does go a long way when you just want to rant to someone who has no judgement of you - it’s like a free therapy session when I come and get my hair done!

I have trust issues when coming to get my hair done due to having a bad experience with my previous hair dresser but Arti has regained my trust and confidence with my hair.

Great service. Ella at the king street branch did a fantastic balayage and cut for my hair. Was very pleased with the result. Staff are very friendly and asked if I needed anything throughout my time there. Would recommend Ella and the salon to others.

Arti was amazing from the consultation to the day I had my hair transformation. She was realistic about my hair health and what steps we can take to bring it back to a healthy state. The salon is relaxing and pleasant environment to be in, all staff are friendly and welcoming.

I have now come to Barrie Stephen a couple times now and i have my hair done by Arti the Manager and wow! she has the most passion in her work, I’ve never experienced anything like it! not only does she explain detail even though I’m a regular but she always makes me feel so special each time. She is an amazing person with so much care and her service to not just myself but without a doubt also checks to make sure everyone in the salon are taken good care of is just incredible. What I see in her professionalism is her drive and wanting to perfect the finer detail not just through her work but around her as well. What a fabulous Manager & Stylist! Love her work, absolutely worth booking she is amazing!

Had my hair done by Vitalija at the Leicester king street salon and she always does such an amazing job! She has always got me super blonde without compromising the health of my hair! And today we switched it up and had some of my natural colour put through ready for autumn and I’ve already had lots of compliments! Would highly recommended! 🤗❤

I got highlights and a haircut by Andrea and I couldn't be happier with the result. The colour looked very natural but still gave that dimension of lightness in my hair that I wanted. I was also excited about being able to choose the option of having my hair natural styled and being able to embrace my natural curls.
