The Avenue Dental Practice

The Avenue dental practice is such an amazing place, I myself have a very complex medical history and I’ve always received the best care by my dentist who also looks after my 3 Grandchildren, she is so kind and caring as is her assistant. I’ve had many occasions where I’ve had to call as an emergency and they have always done their very best to accommodate. The staff at the practice are so lovely and welcoming always greeted with a big smile, keep up the good work guys because in my opinion your all doing a great job thankyou Mandy Raichura

Polite and efficient surgery. Receptionists very friendly and helpful. I have regular checkups and on two occasions when needing emergency appointments have received prompt attention. My dentist is very professional and gentle and I have had two painless extractions. I am surprised at negative reviews - certainly not my experience

5 stars from us. My son (aged 9) required an emergency appointment after an accident involving his lip and front tooth. I called the practice 45 mins before they were due to close. We were asked to go straight down to see a dentist. After a short wait, Dr Obasi and Lucy saw my son and they made him feel totally relaxed despite him being extremely uncomfortable both physically and emotionally after the accident. The whole practice closed late to ensure he had the care he required before a trip to A&E. If it wasn’t for Dr Obasi’s thorough examination, our experience at A&E and subsequent surgery would have resulted in a very different outcome.

We received a courtesy call from the reception team the following morning to see how he was and again after his surgery. We were offered a cancellation appointment the day after his surgery to repair the damaged tooth. Once again the whole team made my son feel relaxed before, during and after his dental work.

I was concerned he’d to come away from the experience terrified of dentists, but no, quite the opposite. He actually said “I don’t understand why some people are scared of the dentist”! WOW! Thank you for making this ordeal as painless as possible. I can’t thank you all enough.

My dentist is wonderful here. I have developed a real fear of dentists over the years and often faint after having treatment but Sunil is amazing. He is conscious of my anxiety and always knows the right thing to say to keep me calm. Recent visit during lockdown from a cracked tooth was fixed promptly and very happy with the results. Couldn’t recommend more highly

Fitted me in at short notice when I broke my front tooth due to a flying motorcycle component (don't ask !) even though I hadn't been for a checkup in 5 years (naughty me). Have done a brilliant repair job to my tooth, can barely see it's been repaired. Fast, friendly.

The dentist was exceptionally good and the practice seems to be well run from what I could gather on my visit. I'd definitely recommend this practice to others, I'm not sure why people are giving it 1 star!

Always friendly and reassuring i would thoroughly recommend them. I don't particularly like going to the dentist but i get treated so well i wouldn't want to go anywhere else.

I was shocked at the reviews for this dentist. I’m a very nervous patient and I’ve been using them for over 25 years with no complaints. They’ve always been excellent with me.

Since 2020 the service received by this practice has been awful. Reception staff need training on data protection laws and what they actually mean and also how NOT to rip patients off. It is very clear that under the NHS banner they will try to gain as much money out of you as a patient as they can. It is a disgrace of a dental practice with staff who do not have patient care at the forefront of their minds. For someone who has been using this practice for over 15 years I think I have a fair bit of experience to back up my 1 star up. The practice is clearly focused on making as much money as possible and they do not care how they do this. I have since joined another practice privately and for someone who goes to the dentist regularly was told I needed 3 fillings - something else this practice failed to see. I would avoid at all costs going to this dentist as a NHS or private patient
