I had the pleasure of staying at Swansea Valley Holiday Cottages in 2022 with my family on the back of a cycling event. We loved it so re-booked immediately for 2023. Unfortunately, a family emergency meant that we had to cancel at the last moment. The booking was non-refundable so I thought I was sure to lose my money. Swansea Valley Holiday Cottages were fantastic. They quickly realised that I was a repeat customer and refunded in-full without question. This totally exceeded my expectations and their obligations. This is exactly how customer service should be - I will definitely stay here again whenever I next get a chance.

The cottages are beautifully restored and converted farm buildings in an idyllic hidden area of Wales that's still close enough to the town if you need your amenities. Really gutted we couldn't make it this time around.

Highly recommended.

We had a fantastic stay, beautiful cottages and setting. Richard and Sue were wonderful hosts, really helpful. The accomodation was charming, very well fitted out and immaculately clean. Will be returning...

Might just be my favourite place in the whole world. Absolutely fantastic.
We stayed in the one bed accessible cottage which had the most wonderful Riverside patio which caught the sun even in early March. Warm and cosy, and fabulous owners who were very helpful with bike storage etc.

For anyone who is planning to work from 'home' while on holiday; Checked ahead for WiFi strength (I had to do a couple work meetings from there) and I'm glad to report that it exceeded their estimations; I ran video calls with shared screen etc without any issues.

We have always preferred self catering and have stayed in various places, both in the UK and abroad and this was by far the best place that we have ever stayed in.
The cottages were fully equipped, with everything you can think of having been thought of and provided.
The information booklet was extremely comprehensive, even including suggestions for where to go and what to do should you experience a whole week of bad weather. We were lucky to enjoy beautiful weather, but how useful and thoughtful to have so much information should we have needed it.
We hired 3 cottages for a week with our children and grandchildren, to celebrate my husband's 80th birthday and all the different generations thoroughly enjoyed it and said that they want to return. In fact we spoke to other people staying there who were returning.
The setting is idyllic, ideal for us oldies to relax, as well as many places of interest within easy reach and with plenty for children to do, such as visiting the farm shop for milkshakes, walking to the village store to buy goodies, exploring the stream, trails and surrounding countryside.
The owners and staff were very friendly and helpful and on hand should we have needed anything, but as above, we wanted for nothing.
I cannot recommend Swansea Valley Cottages enough and we cannot wait to go back.

Even though I'm from South Wales, I've always thought I'd not enjoyed as much of it as I could. This is why my partner and I decided to rent a holiday cottage for a few days and see the sights and surrounds of the Swansea and surrounding valleys. The accommodation was amazing and was well-positioned so that we could take in both the coast and the valleys during our short stay. Clean, affordable and really welcoming - would recommend to anyone local or otherwise for a short stay.

So lucky to have found this delightful holiday cottage /farm. We stayed in Lloc Llo cottage. It was really well appointed with everything we needed, clean and modern. It’s a perfect location to explore. We didn’t manage to do the farm trail due to the weather - hopefully another time! Thank you for having us :-)

Just returned from a three-night visit as a group of nine over the New Year. We rented three cottages: Y Stabl, Tŷ Cerbyd and Hafod y Wennol. All cottages were well-equipped and beautifully decorated. Everything we needed was to be found in the cottages, including dishwashers, and two of the three had log-burning fires. With the stream running behind the cottages, the gardens would be a lovely place to sit in the summer. The beds were all very comfortable with plenty of storage for clothes. Lots of eco-friendly qualities, maps provided for a great 2.5 mile walk around the farm, and guide books and recommendations for pubs and attractions nearby. Highly recommended. Would love to return

This place isn't just warm (there was no sign of a cold breeze in the very warm cottage), welcoming and picturesque. The facilities are fab with a washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, but they have thought of the niggly things too like extra blankets (gorgeous welsh woven wool, I think!) and pillows, fairy liquid, scourers, clothes, washing liquid and conditioner, dustpan and brush to easily tidy up after the kids. I will definitely be going back and highly recommend it to anyone!

Incredible little find. Cottage was cosy, modern but not small. A must read is their information pack. Quite area 2 min drive from Tesco or Lidl superstore.
Lots to do see and walk within 10 to 40 min drive. Waterfalls, Caves, Canal, Castles Scenery. You will not be disapointed.

We had an absolutely fantastic time while staying at Swansea Valley Holiday Cottages. we stayed in Ty-Gambo and the overall property and facilities surpassed our expectations. The farm is nicely secluded in a very peaceful setting, but also not too far away from local amenities. The visitor guide book inside the property was absolutely incredible with so many useful pieces of information on what to do locally and where to explore. It made us realise that we will definitely have to come back again to see much more as we only got to visit a fraction of what was contained within. Richard, our host was extremely helpful and whilst we missed his call on arrival he did check in to make sure everything was ok and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit for a few days during the February half term.

My second visit to wales, and staying the the holiday cottages in the swansea valley was a real eye opener in terms of the natural and historical heritage of the area.

The cottages were very comfortable and clean, and I will definitely be coming back to Wales.

Great place to stay! In the middle of nature but still close enough to civilization.
The cottage we stayed in has got everything you need.
