The Balloch House

This lovely hotel is a central point for Loch Lomond, the Trossachs and the Argyll forest. The room was well decorated and clean. The staff are so friendly, nothing is too much trouble. The food is good, the portions are quite large!

Stayed en route further north in our motorhome which we could park up in the spacious car park and dine in the restaurant.
Both myself and husband had the steak and ale pie, which was beautiful (pints for scale!) Needed some gravy for the mash and veg which we was offered after our food was delivered.
Location is fantastic next to the loch and marina, wide tarmac path to the loch would be accessible for wheelchairs.
Would definitely return 😁

Our dinner at The Balloch House after visiting Loch Lamond was just perfect. From the comfy and cozy seating area to the very broad menu with lots of yummy food to the delightful service. It was actually one of our favorite meals during our UK trip! Make sure you get the garlic flatbread to start and save some room for desert. Limited parking is available behind the restaurant and we enjoyed a nice walk along the water before we ate.

Excellent early mid week evening meal at Balloch House. Warm welcome followed by attentive service and high quality food. Reasonably priced food and wine - very good quality and obviously freshly prepared.

The waitress were very nice! Cozy place with lots of delicious food! Highly recommend the pie of the day.

The service was lovely! We arrived a bit too early for lunch so opted for some tasty lattes before 12. The lunch was superb! Actually couldn’t resist a sticky toffee so had a starter, main and dessert. Always a beautiful and homey atmosphere.

The service was amazing. The fish and chips was delicious. Thanks so much for a lovely meal! And coping with keeping 18 of us happy is not easy!

Service was very prompt and friendly. Our waitress Elaine helped with all our food preferences and everything was served perfectly.

Our 1st time visiting The Balloch House Hotel, we were welcomed in by friendly staff and had a lovely 3 course meal. It was friendly, fast service by all members of staff we met. Food was lovely, good sized portions. We would recommend here to others and will come in again.

Have been a regular visitor for years. Love to visit whenever I have family visiting from London. Good location next to the loch, easily accessible via public transport or car. Staff are always very friendly and service is excellent. Good food selection and great for kids.

Fantastic food provided by even better customer service. We visited during peak hours so as you can expect it was very busy however we felt the service was on point, especially by rowan. She was kind and very welcoming and always smiling. Highly recommend

Amazing spot by the loch. So comfortable even on a rainy day and when the fire places are going time slips away. Megan offer top shelf service and always made sure we had everything we needed.

Dianne and her wonderful team found us a dog friendly table by the roaring fire on this very cold winters afternoon.

Great food, great atmosphere. A bit overwhelmed staff but that is everywhere at the moment. We had a great time and we ate very well!

Lovely atmosphere and staff very welcoming. Great choice on the menu and the food is delicious. Very dog friendly, offering water, treats & blankets for your furry friends. Would definitely recommend a visit.

One of the best places I've eaten in UK.
A whole bunch of great dishes, all the other three dishes that my friend took were great. I took the Shepard's Schnitzel and it was very good. The price was very fair (13/14£ for that dish in the picture).
The mood is wonderful, very warm and pleasant place, it can be good for an almost romantic dinner and perfect for a friend gathering. The position is great and the staff is very friendly.
Food super nice and very local as well.
Strongly suggested, apparently one of the best places in Balloch (if not the best)
