Just stopped in for a quick drink. The atmosphere seemed wonderful, and the service was excellent. I can not comment regarding their food.

Absolutely lovely pub with great home cooked food. The service is amazing and the staff are all very friendly. It's immaculately clean. A lovely pub, I would highly recommend. We were only in the area for 4 days and visited for food a few times.

Lovely restaurant/pub, was obviously busy when we arrived without a booking for a carvery but they were happy to fit us in. The staff were really friendly and the food was top class. Will definitely be back when we're passing, highly recommended

We stopped for a spot of lunch - the service was brilliant!!! A lovely older lady couldn't do enough for us. We had a children's burger meal and an adults burger they were lovely. Great priced food will most definitely be back.

Whilst visiting the area for a holiday we popped in for our evening meal. The service was relaxed and friendly. The food was delicious, hot, well presented and tasty. The portions were decent. Highly recommend the Gammon with all the trimmings, homemade lasagne and double cheese burger. The drinks were ice cold and served in spotless glassware. Well done everyone. This is exactly how it should be done.

Called in for lunch. Good selection on the menu. We chose the special, beef stew and dumplings, which was delicious. A bonus was Timothy Taylor's Landlord.

Excellent service from the barmaid who was on her own and had to contend with some customers who came in and seemed to be determined to be awkward!

Great pub, fantastic food...we were greeted by the waitress and made to feel very welcome. Had gammon from the main menu which was delicious. The waitress and gent behind the bar were both lovely... e sat in the lower bar, but there's also another larger dining area from the car park side, a great room with pool table and darts, little play area outside, garden seating, dog friendly....enjoyed our first visit and will certainly be back.
Been back again twice now..still as good, the team are lovely..so nice to our dog too..food was just as good as the first time we went!

Called in on spec because it was close to where some visiting relatives were staying. Very glad we did, we all had something different and eveyone enjoyed their meal and commented on how good it was. Bonus was that prices were reasonable too. Nice pub, good decor and good service, recommended!

Had my wife's wake here a week or so ago and found them very good. Food package was good and at a very reasonable price.

Great value, excellent service, great facilities. The server was very patient and helpful with my kids' carvery dinners. £10.50 for adult, £5.95 for kids, amazing value. Well done to all the staff and thank you. Best thing I've eaten for a while.

A great find! Lovely carvery (go for early service!) Well organised, no need to queue as each table was taken up in turn. All the staff were really friendly and helpful. Food was good quality and hot with a great variety of veggies!
We took advantage of the sunshine to have an extra drink whilst the kids ran about in the play area.
We will be back!

We visited for Sunday lunch and will definitely return again. The service was excellent, the staff were very helpful and the owner was a proper landlord who was taking care to make sure that a busy service ran well. The Sunday carvery was good and the portion was generous. The chap who was on the carvery was also friendly even though we were there later in the service and he'd probably had a long shift! The desserts were nice and the portions enormous, we certainly felt we got our money's worth. The kids play area was well cared for and in good order, smoking area looked good too. We did book ahead as it was busy but I got the impression that the staff would do what they could to accommodate walk in tables if they could.
