One of the most beautiful drives up to a stunning campsite in the depths of Wales. Site is extremely pleasant, with good ground, a lovely river running through it, and childs playground. The hookups are well spaced, the facilities (though minimal) are very well maintained, and the owners were really friendly. Looking forward to another visit!

Perfect & peaceful little site in a beautiful location. Friendly owners & well maintained. Facilities are simple, clean & adequate. No shops or places to eat within walking distance, so you’ll need to be self sufficient!

If you value peaceful and beautiful surroundings, you won't do much better than staying at this fab site. Amazing views and a warm welcome with loads of info provided and suggestions on what to do. It is isolated, shower and toilets are fine but no major frills, exactly what I was looking for though so we'll definitely return.

We stayed for 2 nights end of Aug/early Sep. We didn’t arrive until 8pm but this was no problem. The scenery is incredible and we got a nice pitch by the stream. Facilities are good although had to queue for the toilets a few times and the campsite was nowhere near full. If you want peace and quiet away from it all, this campsite is ideal.

Tranquil campsite that sits next to the river. It has all the basic facilities you need, all clean. It is reasonably priced and in a great location for exploring the Elan valley and Hafod estate. Being next to the river is lovely for having a paddle, but do mind the midges! The ground is quite rocky so rock pegs and a mallet are recommended. Never gets too busy so always peaceful. The playground is a lovely touch.

Lovely, small, quiet campsite - if you like camping in an isolated place, this is absolutely for you! It’s located in the beautiful Ystwyth valley, just as you get into the wonderfully remote uplands beyond the village of Cwmystwyth. The site is right on the river, and although it’s next to the mountain road, it’s very peaceful - the occasional car or bunch of motorbikes soon passes and only emphasises how quiet it is normally. The facilities are fine for a small, uncommercial site and the owners are very friendly and helpful. Just sit back, listen to the river and watch the light shift on the hillsides that surround the site. Will definitely go back!

What a beautiful little place, came across it on our travels, electric hook ups, toilets, showers washing up facilities and a beautiful stream running through the site, BBQ areas and seating. Will definitely go back and would high recommend. Very relaxing and we'll run site .

Idyllic little campsite situated rather remotely in the cwmystwyth valley. Great if you want to escape civilisation and be away from signal and annoying messages and phone calls. The midges can get rather feisty, be sure to bring insect repellent and citronella candles. It's perfectly situated if you have a weekend planned of exploring the cwmystwyth mines and/or the Elan Valley reservoirs. Aberystwyth is only a 30minute drive for some chips by the sea or other excellent evening dining.

We visited in July and had the site almost to ourselves. Those are our photos in the details. Stunning location and views, with a shallow river running alongside, just perfect.
