Excellent carvery, the food is cooked perfectly every time with lots of choice. Has become a new favorite. The staff are always friendly and you can tell they also get on with each other and customers so the pub has a happy welcoming atmosphere. There is a good sized car park too.

Best carvery around. Me and my partner came in here for the first time at some point last week and were greeted by such a welcoming cozy environment, such a chilled place to come. We were greeted by a lovely woman who asked us what we’d like and if we wanted any drinks, we both decided to get a large carvery each which included three meats each. My partner got larger portions of 2 meats while I got a mixture of all three and didn’t get a Yorkshire pudding. The girl carving meats was really nice and friendly too, gave us a good portion that we were both happy with. Largest choice of potatoes and veg and other carvery stuff that I’ve seen before here, I filled my plate up, choices included mash, roasties, dauphinois, parsnips, stuffing and lots more as well as 2 different choices of gravy and a few different sauces. I asked if it would be okay to go up for seconds of potatoes etc if I needed to and got told this was fine although I was so full after my first plate I didn’t need to! Even got asked how our meal was which was super thoughtful. Such amazing customer service and amazing food here, I’ve never had better roast potatoes than I have here! The best carvery by far will definitely be coming back! Thank you for making our experience such a beautiful one! The price is excellent also for what you get, amazing value for money!

Roast potatoes and cauliflower were delicious. And home cooked Yorkshire Pudding. Nothing frozen here! Excellent value for money too. Best carvery I have eaten in ages. I'll definitely eat here again.

First time in here since new ownership celebrating my friend s 77th birthday today ,we had an awesome carvery and sticky toffee pud deserts both red and white wines by Jack rabbit, all fabulous! as were the wonderful staff who made us thoroughly welcome and nothing was too much trouble so thank you all so much, meant more than you know for this special day,
hopefully be back real soon!

I had a meal here for the first time yesterday. I ordered the carvery and the food was fresh and hot and plenty of choice. Staff were very friendly. We will be back in the future

Visited for the first time. The carvery was exceptional so obvious that the veg and yorkies were hand prepped could not fault the service. Will definitely visit again soon such a quality experience.

Great food staff look happy and I can hear singing from the kitchen which means someone likes to cook.

What a lovely wee place food choice was great, however the carvery was fantastic the choice of vegetables was superb and very tasty 5stars friendly staff 😊 for food & drinks for 3 £42 we will be back 👍

Absolutely the best Carvery I have ever had. Food is cooked fresh every day & there is nothing frozen apart from the veg. Even the Yorkshire Puddings are made from scratch. Decent pricing as well. Staff are all really nice & welcoming people. Anthony the manager really great personality. Will definitely recommend the D & P for a meal.

Great pub, the new owners really have done a great job! Really well decorated, great atmosphere and the food is something else!! Can't wait to see what the future holds!

Great food at great prices with friendly staff that really make you feel welcome. We had not been for a few years because of Covid 19 etc but were pleasantly surprised at the improvement in service and food compared to the last time we visited. We all had a really lovely meal and would definitely return.

Fantastic carvery with brilliant selection of veg. Friendly staff and good atmosphere in pub. Looked through the menu and there's a very good choice without crazy prices. We'll definitely be returning here

Went for a birthday get together with work colleagues, never been before. I really wish I lived a bit closer because it would be my new local. Excellent carvery, nicely priced bar, friendly staff and the night we went they had a great live band on so we danced ourselves silly. Will definitely return

Nice little pub with a cracking carvery and friendly staff. Even though it's based on the main Ashton road there was plenty of parking spaces and a lovely outside seating area. Prices were very reasonable and lots of other choices on the menu if you didn't fancy a carvery

Excellent 'home made' carvery, good quality meat, lots of it, nice warm veg that isn't dry and crusty like most carveries, all in a good 'old fashion' pub environment, also does child portions, and a selection of dishes on the menu. Great value, and highly recommended.

Visited today for the first time .. I had the vegetable lasagna and my company had the cheese and onion pie, all the mains you can also help your self to the carvery veg.
The lasagna was absolutely gorgeous, my two companions really enjoyed there cheese and onion pie... This is our new favourite carvery place. The staff were friendly and welcoming and very helpful. I'd deff recommend this place to anyone . Great value good atmosphere friendly people .. fills all the boxies x

Excellent Sunday roast every day of the week I went on a Thursday, the food was carvery style and ready to go without waiting, the staff were very friendly and made the visit extra special, another plus point was that it has a free car park and is really easy to find from the main road. I had the largest carvery option that came with 3 different types of meat, beef, turkey and pork, there was all you can eat vegetables with the crispiest roast Potatoes I'd eaten for a long time, and many gravies and sauces to compliment it, I mixed beef gravy with turkey gravy, it was lush!!
