Great experience. Hanna is an amazing host that is very knowledgeable, friendly, and down to earth. The wine was delicious and it was our best experience over three days in burgundy. Certainly a must visit if you're in the region.

What a great experience. Hannah did a wonderful job educating us about her family’s winery. She’s very knowledgeable and what an experience. And the wine is pretty good.

We have visited a lot of wineries over the years: Napa Valley, Temecula, all over Arizona, Rhode Island, Tuscany, Bordeaux, Loire, Burgundy, etc. After finding Maison Shaps through a simple search of wineries in the area we'd be visiting, I booked a wine and cheese pairing via email. I was with my wife, daughter, and a couple of our friends. What I thought, and hoped, would be a standard wine tasting experience completely blew away my expectations.

This was absolutely, by far, the best wine tasting experience I've ever had. Hanna was simply amazing. Her knowledge of wine & cheese combined with her multicultural viewpoint was priceless! Hanna is the perfect blend of French and American. Her understanding of an American wine experience and flavor profiles helped to explain and guide us through a very informative and genuine French/Burgundy experience. Add to that zero pretentiousness and just a purely welcoming atmosphere. We immediately felt as if a lifelong friend was serving us wine in her home. We left truly more informed and completely positively overwhelmed by the experience. What a lucky find for us.

If you can, plan a visit to Maison Shaps. You will not be disappointed.

Maison Shaps was a highlight of our trip. Hannah was phenomenal. She expertly paired the wines and provided insightful explanations, making the experience enjoyable for both wine novices and connoisseurs in our group. We even learned about their sister winery in Charlottesville, VA, and we're now making plans to visit there.

We had an amazing time at Maison Shaps with Hanna. Her knowledge and expertise was fascinating to listen to and her passion for both wine and cheese was great. Hanna was also very kindly flexible when we were running late. Hopefully we will be back!

The Cheese and Wine tasting was a very nice experience with great wine and wonderful cheese. Morgan very charmingly facilitated the tasting and the pairing of Hana was just perfect. Highly recommended!

A fantastic tasting of some beautiful wines by a fantastic, friendly and knowledgeable host in Hannah. We walked in on a Saturday and had a great time tasting and chatting in fluent English. Other reviews go into detail so I will just advise you if you are reading this to go and enjoy!

Even amidst all the September business, the hostess took a lot of time for us. She was so kind, funny and knowledgable. We had a great time, many laughs and unforgettable wines.

We read that if we could only go to one wine tasting, this would be it. We ABSOLUTELY agree. Her wines are something special and the tasting is a treat.

If you're reading this review, you're probably considering whether or not you should commit to visiting Maison Shaps for Hanna's cheese tasting. Based on the experience I had this evening, I definitely think you should! We arrived and met Hanna in the winery where she had plated a beautiful array of cheeses and had on display the wines from her domaine that we were going to use to accompany the cheese. It's clear that she's knowledgable about the wines having grown up in a winemaking family, but she's beyond passionate about the cheese! I know a lot about wine, but I know much less about cheese...she helped fill in some of those holes (in the cheese?!?!) for me, which was cool.

She's also a natural conversationalist and takes time to get to know the clients in order to build anchors for the experience. She has a cool story to go with the tasting, so it's interesting to get to know more about her and her life...and how that led her to create this experience.

I've done a lot of tastings in Burgundy, but this one stands out as unique, as it pairs the wine in a practical sense with something many of us enjoy--fresh, farm made cheese! If you have a spare hour or two, book the tour and then spend some time walking around the beautiful village of Mersault...you won't regret it!

Highlight of our trip. Excellent wines in an incredible setting. Hanna made the experience so memorable. Absolutely loved the local cheese pairing and accompanying stories. A++.

Excellent tasting (more bottles for less money), perfect english (being french-american), and top notch wines. Plus, air-conditioned and welcoming of walk-ins. Do yourself a favour and go. Seriously. Stop reading this and go.

Very nice host , nice wine tasting with good explanation. This is a small winery, with a set of good burgundy wines, with affordable prices.

La dégustation vins & fromages est une vraie découverte, parole de bourguignonne ! Hanna est adorable, passionnée et passionnante, les fromages et les vins divins, que demander de plus pour passer un super moment ?

Nous étions en balade sur la route des vins et nous passions par Meursault nous sommes passé devant la maison Shaps qui ne paye pas de mine de prime abord. Nous avions hésité a pénétrer dans ce lieu. Heureusement nous avons franchi le pas.

Hanna nous a accueilli et nous nous sommes tout de suite sentis comme a la maison. Nous avons dégusté ce jour là 7 vins, 3 blancs et 4 rouges. Hanna a su nous transmettre sa passion et nous présenter son domaine comme je ne l'avais vu dans aucune autre dégustation jusqu'ici.

Sincèrement tous les vins sont excellents. J'ai adoré leur Meursault blanc !

très bon vin très bon fromage associé à chaque dégustation du vin et des explications de chaque vin bien ciblé sur chaque terre ou parcelle ou le vin est produit Anna et dynamique pleine d'énergie la dégustation et d'autant plus appréciable à faire absolument
