We visited this museum about WWII because of a review that I had read. Tucked away in a park about a five minute walk from the Hotel de Ville (town hall), it did not disappoint. Very in-depth descriptions. Everyone should visit these WWII sites and teach the children. Worth the 8.5 euro cost per adult.

Awesome!, A German Bunker Museum. Great place to visit with the family. Wow Ton's of WW2 Military Artifacts, if you're interested in this sort of thing! 👍👍 well worth a look and a great day out.

Decent little museum about WWII and how this bunker and Calais played its part.
Has manikins wearing uniform as well as scale models and weapons on show.
Recommend listening to the audio guide.
I rushed around and did the whole thing in less than an hour but you could spend 2 hours easily here.

Situated within a former Kriegsmarine Communications HQ.. Other Museums may have equivalent uniforms and hardware. But.,the Posters and other paperwork are absolutely of world class quality.

Excellent WW2 museum. The concrete bunker it is housed in, only adds to the ambience. Lots of posters and photographs, accompanied by artifacts and figurines. The curator is very friendly and knowledgeable. Spent half an hour chatting with him, in English, before entering the museum. Thoroughly enjoyed it!

Very well thought out museum charting the battle for Calais. The museum is housed in the original German bunker as is very interesting. Allow at least 1.30 hrs to get round. There is audio dialogue available. Certainly brings home the horrors of war.

What a very interesting museum in a bunker and in the middle of the park! We really enjoyed our visit and we liked going through all rooms displaying a lot of varied information about the war and how Calais and its region were affected. There are many posters, newspapers and other items which make the visit very informative. It is an excellent museum to visit and we recommend it!

I went here at 5.40pm and the overall closing time is 6pm, so it was closed for entry. On saying I'd just see whatever I can within 20 mins, the person charged me at a children's rate (6 euros opposed to 8 euros) and let me in.

On reading newspaper cutouts, seeing the old guns, missiles, aircraft engines, sets of communication rooms and bunker rooms, I was feeling 'present' at World War 2.

This museum is housed in an old single-storey long building, which was build by Germans as a communication room during WW2 after conquest of Calais. The person told it was converted into a museum only in the 1960s.

A very worthy place to visit, one can see great exhibits, an immersive experience! Plan for 50-60 minutes here.

This a very educational ww2 museum. It'll take you an hour or so to walk around, your supplied with a device that you key in the relevant room number to listen to more information about what's happening in the area you are visiting. Free parking outside along the road, keep all valuable items in the boot/locked away as immigrants roam the area. A police station is next door to the museum so the car should be ok. The museum only accepts cash(€).

Imcredibly detailed retelling of history with audible guides for multiple languages. There is no issue if you're a non-french speaking person! Definitely recommend for any ww2 history buff who's interested in just reading about the french side of the war.
