Beautiful cemetery, well cared for, lovely location overlooking fields with the ocean at the horizon. It was a bit cloudy which made that view quite heavenly. Many graves have personal inscriptions, very moving.

Powerful, impactful, moving and so, so important. Beyond visiting Juno Beach, this cemetery demonstrates the true cost, the fulsome price paid by many, many brave Canadian soldiers. Tragic, how many of the graves show that these boys, as young as 18, died for freedom.

Bring Kleenex.

Canadian cemetary not from from Juno beach; so many young men laid to rest here. I'm glad I got the opportunity to visit this site.

My mother's favourite cousin, James Cameron is buried here. The most beautiful resting place one could wish for. Thank you for maintaining these lovely grounds.

One of the most peaceful places I have ever been to in my life. Hallowed ground. It is located in some of the most beautiful countryside on earth. As an American, I thank God for the brave heroes who are buried there. We owe our freedom to them. I was in Normandy to see the place where my dad and his twin brother jumped in as part of the 101st Airborne. We drove to the Canadian Cemetery because my friend's dad is buried there. I am so glad I did. It is a deeply moving experience.

Beautiful and touching. Flowers and individual personal inscriptions and access to walk around and read headstones has a powerful and personal touch. Unfortunately the USA Omaha cementary is pristine and perfect with crosses aligned in unbelievable unison, but no public access, no flowers and apparently no personal inscriptions leaves one somewhat disconnected to what these men fought for.

Very nice place despite what is represented in a cemetery. Green, clean, well maintained, a minimal of signage - one is left to think instead of being told what to think. There is a paper roster of the interned in one of the small buildings. I (as an American) thought it was a good representation of Canadians with the simple Maple leaf everywhere. Understated with dignity.

It was very touching to visit this hallowed ground on Dec 4/2014. So many young persons gave their all for our freedom.
They were so young and could have achieved so much more given the opportunity. Thank you to the people of France for doing such an excellent job of maintaining this pristine cemetery in honor of them.

An extremely moving and sobering experience visiting the graves of approximately 2000 Canadian soldiers who lost their lives for our freedom. Despite the well cared for gardens and breathtaking view of the Normandy coastline, your attention is held by the ages listed on each gravestone, a harrowing reminder of how young these men were when they enlisted to fight for freedom.

During my travels through Europe I have visited a lot of war cemeteries, but I have found this one to be one of the most moving. I visited with a group of my high school students, and they found themselves (as did I) overwhelmed by the moving things written on the stones. The honour to serve their country, the love for their family, those who fought and new they would not survive, each grave stone tells a story of a real person who fought a real war - something we often forget. Take the time when visiting to walk up and down each row and glimpse into the lives of those who fought in WWII. These Canadians fought, and deserve us to remember their lives as soldiers, and as people. Well worth the time to visit. Glad our guide brought us here.

A quiet, sombre Commonwealth War Cemetery - a place to contemplate the futility of war.

First thing thank you for this immaculately maintained war cemetery. I was taken back as my mind looked back in time across the land. It must have been hell to fight a up hill battle. Rest in peace all who fought to win us our freedom. Sincerely a humbled Canadain.

I made it a point while in Normandy. For the 75th anniversary of the D Day Landings. To visit the allied and German cemeteries.
This cemetery is very peaceful and very well maintained.
I had the honor of meeting and shaking hand with four men that stormed the beaches. If you are in the area I would highly recommend paying a visit.
