Tour Magne is a wonderful place to visit, particularly for any intrepid traveller interested in history. The tower has a great panoramic view of Nîmes from its balcony once you have ascended the interior staircase.

I’d suggest buying the combination ticket, that also includes the Amphitheater of Nîmes and the Maison Carrée as it’s great value and a useful way of site seeing Nîmes.

While walking to the Tour Magne I’d suggest walking through the Jardin de la Fontaine, which is a beautiful public park situated in the heart of Nîmes.

Nice views from the top. Gets crowded and they only allow a certain amount of people at the top so you may have to wait. But a very cool piece of history

Tour Magne in Nîmes is a captivating historical monument that offers panoramic views of the city and its surroundings. This Roman watchtower, once a part of the city's fortifications, stands tall on a hill and is a testament to ancient engineering and strategic planning. Climbing to its summit rewards you with breathtaking vistas of Nîmes, including the famous Roman amphitheater. While the ascent can be a bit steep, the view from the top is worth the effort. Tour Magne is a great spot to soak in the city's history and capture some memorable photos.

In this huge garden, this really beautiful ancient Roman tower is hidden, so to speak. After climbing the hill full of peculiar trees and narrow intertwined streets you arrive at the tower. To reach the top of the tower you have to climb spiral stairs, it is not advisable for those who have vertigo, because the void below could annoy you. The view of the city from above the tower pays off then all the fatigue.

Must see Roman structure that overlooks all of Nîmes. You can buy a pass that gets you into all the local monuments or buy an individual pass. It’s a decent climb up to the top of monument with some narrow spiraling staircases. During the tourist season there will def be a wait and they only allow 15 people up top at one time.

Wonderful little hike through the park to the top through all kinds of different tree types and small water pools with wildlife (ducks, koi, and a big swan). You have to pay like 3€ to go up the spiral stairs to the top of the tower, but totally worth it.

Beautiful view over the city, nice climb of about 140 steps inside the tower. Nicely kept Roman building, serious climb through the park upwards to the tower, however worth the trouble. Take enough water to drink!

Steep climb to get to the tower, and then another climb to get to the top but well worth the views. Most of the staff at the archeological sites don't speak english so I paid at each site, I wasn't made aware there is a discounted ticket for all the sites.

Was interesting to see what the romans were capable of building over 2,000 years ago. This tower is still really well preserved considering it’s age. The view from the top was beautiful too. Climbing the steps to get up is a bit scary considering it’s a narrow staircase and you’re faced with heights. But all in all really worth it if you can go!

Nice small walk from the city. Many flowers and butterflies. There is an entrance fee of €4.50,- I did not go in, but I imagine it's a nice view.

Worth a visit as part of the Nîmes Arena tour including the Maison Carrée and the Arena itself. The top of the tower shows a wonderful view of the city and sorrounding regions.

Amazing view of the city, only thing is you have to wait a little bit before you're allowed to go up the tower. Very nice for taking pictures of the city

The lookout platform is quiet small. Probably for 10 people. But the view was nice.

Great views from this 70 meter tower built in 16 ad. Cost is €3.50 adult, and 145 steps to the top. Worth it!
