When you are in Geneva, you cannot miss it. Landmark from the Canton of Geneva but also symbol of Switzerland. There is a pier leading to the bottom of the Jet if you like to get wet...
The nicest pictures are taken at a certain distance of course and during a boat trip on the lake.

We had a terrific spontaneous evening date by the fountain. We went in summers, so it was open to get wet for people wanting to enjoy getting wet. Although, we went after open hours so spent the evening watching the sunset, the jet, over locally sourced wine and pizza.

Beautiful attraction--the jet looks magnificent even from across the lakeshore. Up close you have a high chance of seeing a rainbow in the mist (provided it's sunny)!

I think the fountain is beautiful! Be aware that it does not run in certain weather, if it's too windy ect! It wasn't on when we first tried to see it. Luckily, later that day it was back on, so we had a walk right up to it! You can get very, very close, so much so that you can literally stand under its spray! Go careful though, it looks very slippy! The weather wasn't great the first day we went, but we went back 2 days later when it was sunny, and boy am I glad we did! The rainbows it creates in the sunshine are stunning! We sat nearby for our lunch, and it was the perfect spot to just sit in the sun and chill watching the fountain! Picture perfect!

Of course a must go and impossible to miss when visiting Geneva. We adventured out and ran under the jet stream and got pretty wet. So try not to do it in cold weather. It’s magnificent and one of the kind.

Very nice scene! The kids loved it and loved the water.
It's remarkable at night for calm walking around, nice red wine and quietness where you can also enjoy the music in any place around , people are very friendly.
Love it there

The Geneva Water Fountain, located in Lake Geneva, is a captivating landmark. Its impressive height and the play of lights make it a more attractive, especially in the evening.
But in the winter season water jet stop pumping water at 16.00.

The symbol of Geneva. Seen from many parts of the city, very beautiful. Has a rainbow on sunny days! You can even get close to the jet and get wet if the wind decides so.

It was my first time in Geneva. You can see this Jet from many kilometers from the city center. I didn't know what it was until I went to check it out. A very interesting tourist attraction

7,000 liters of water suspended 140 meters in the air at a soaring 200 km/h – Geneva's eye-catching city emblem & real beauty in motion! No wonder it‘s a pitstop on the Grand Tour of Switzerland! 💦 ✨🇨🇭

The tallest fountain in Geneva is the Jet d'Eau. It is located in Lake Geneva, at the point where the Rhône River exits the lake. The Jet d'Eau is 140 meters (460 feet) tall and can shoot water up to 500 meters (1,640 feet) into the air. It is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Geneva and is a symbol of the city.

You can get up close to the fountain and feel the power of the water. You can also take a boat ride around the lake and get a different perspective of the fountain. The Jet d'Eau is a great place to let loose and have some fun.w

Excellent location to walk around and spend time kids. Surrounded by scenic views and activities like the Ferris wheel for youngsters. Also, there are many good restaurants in the vicinity, however, make sure you check the reviews to choose an appropriate one.

This fountain is in the heart of Geneva and can be seen from most places near the water in the city. You can often capture a rainbow floating around throughout the day. You are able to get up close to the fountain if you walk down the pier to get a better understanding of its mechanics

If you're ever in Geneva, do yourself a favor and go check out the Jet d'Eau. I don't think you'll miss it. It's the center attraction.

This is the most iconic feature of Geneva, visible from almost everywhere. Depending on the wind, you can get very wet! You can go out along the walkway to the base where the water emerges. An explanatory panel onshore details the history of the fountain - I was surprised to learn it dates from 1886.

Please be advised that the fountain at this location operates intermittently, subject to weather conditions. We recommend checking its availability prior to visiting, as it may not be consistently active. However, we were fortunate to witness its impressive display on our final evening. Credit must be given to its captivating appearance when in action. Patience and persistence may be required to fully experience its splendor.

It's a huge water fountain in Geneva. The water fountain was built since 1886 to release the excess pressure of a hydraulic plant at La Coulouvrenière. Nowadays the fountain become a symbol of strength, ambition and vitality of Geneva and Switzerland. It pumps 500 litres per second and up to 140m height. You can visit it anytime and it's free entry, of course it's not operating 24 hours, please check the schedule online.
