Under The Lime Tree Spa B&B

Wow, what a find!
Our first visit to Under The Lime Tree was wonderful. Nikki and Sean were so welcoming….their home is beautiful.
My husband came away from the ‘hot stones’ massage really relaxed and chilled, and the three course meal that Nikki prepared for us was amaze-balls!!!!
We will definitely be returning

I don't normally write reviews, but for Nikki and Shaun I am very happy to make an exception.
The hosts are a well-rehearsed team and the place is simply picturesque. We had a very friendly welcome and simply felt at home there. Nikki is an excellent cook and masseuse and Shaun an excellent craftsman.

Since for me personally the knife course offered was the main focus and I am a craftsman myself, Shaun and I were quickly on the same wavelength...we had a very good time in the workshop and both of us were very pleased with the final product-a professionally made outdoor knife. Even with questions that went into some detail, a good answer was always forthcoming.

My girlfriend also really enjoyed Nikki's massage and the time in the hot tub after a long day in the workshop was very relaxing.

The accommodation was great and we also had a small kitchen in our room, but was not at all necessary to use this as the food itself was excellent. Definitely not a weak hotel breakfast what you usually know. Also the wonderfully prepared daily meals were always very tasty and a treat for the eyes. In addition, there were very good conversations during the meals.

My girlfriend and I enjoyed the stay very much and will definitely come again...next time maybe a little longer.

It's been quite a few years since I've been to UTLT. The lunch was delicious and the hot tub was great despite the incessant "wet" rain. We had a lovely time and hopefully it won't be another 10 or so years before we go back!!

I visited the lovely retreat for the second time in the summer of 2023.

The farmhouse is located on the edge of a quiet hamlet in peaceful and relaxing countryside. The views over the valley are magnificent, ideal when having breakfast or dinner in the courtyard.

Whilst the area is quiet, (and there are not many tourists around the local towns and hamlets), there is plenty to see and experience in the just a short drive from "Under The Lime Tree".

I would recommend anyone seeking relaxation, tranquillity and outstanding vegetarian meals to spend time with Nikki and Sean in this part of France.

Had 2 nights with Nikki and Sean and felt at home from the moment I arrived. Lovely place to unwind and was very well looked after. Delicious dinners. Can’t wait to go back to try a Spa Break….(Clare)

To start with the Hosts are fantastic, Thank you Nicky and Sean. Under the lime tree is picturesque, The accommodation is clean, beautiful, welcoming and relaxing. Niki makes the most amazing food she is a fantastic cook Sean is incredible with wood and his hands and as a couple they are so interesting to talk to you. Niki does the most amazing massage so you just feel like you’re floating. Then there is lovely walks all around you, lovely views, I just can’t wait to go back.

My husband and I highly recommend this wonderful oasis in nature! Nicky & Sean are absolutely amazing and kind people, who created a paradise to relax and take a deep breath - Under The Lime Tree - in France. We stayed for one night on our travels back from Portugal shortly after our engagement. We stayed over in the barn, which we had for ourselves and which was beautifully decorated just for us. We enjoyed a delicious home cooked vegan menu with vegetables from their own garden for dinner. The breakfast was awesome as well! They made us feel at home and took very good care of us and our furry travel companions. We will definitely be back to enjoy the full spa experience next time. Thanks for creating this special place! I was booking a surprise trip for my boyfriend's 30th and found UTLT. Nikki was so helpful in all of our email communications and gave me so much useful information. We were made to feel so welcome by Nikki and Sean as soon as we arrived. It was so lovely to enjoy the summer evenings in a beautiful setting, with wonderful home-cooked vegan food and exceptional company. My other half is very into astronomy, as is Nikki, and we were lucky enough to have a clear night where we could view the night sky through her telescope. We staying in the studio gite which was really lovely. We also enjoyed the hot tub, a wonderfully relaxing massage and a wander around the extensive grounds. Brilliant service from start to finish. Could not recommend it enough - will definitely be visiting again.

Under the lime tree is lovely and having tried it out I thoroughly recommend it.
Nikki is professional, knowledgeable and experienced. I had a hot stone massage which was the best one I have ever had, and I have had quite a few in my time. I also tried a 30mins shiatsu session as I have never had one before. I was blown away by the impact on relieving the pain down my left side. I am going for a whole hour next time it was so amazing.
The place is in the countryside and it looks lovely - areas to sit and chat, areas to sit and stare and places to just be.
The treatment room is professional, well laid out and tidy and it was lovely and warm.

Fantastic spa treatments. Nikki is wonderfully friendly and gives fabulous massage treatments in a beautiful setting. I live nearby so haven't taken advantage of the B&B facility or vegan catering offered, but have no doubt that it would be a lovely experience and you would be made extremely welcome.

Good vibes is what we take home from this wonderful week we at the B&B. The vegan food is just delicious, the views and the relaxing atmosphere are just perfect. We also had a massage and took a dip in the hot tub, it was very restoring. Thank you Nikki and Sean for it all :)

One of my favourite places to relax, have a superb massage, enjoy nutritious vegetarian food - mostly grown organically in the delightful garden... with the hens and I'll not forget my visionary night of 'barefoot luxury' in the teepee deep in the wood, alone with nature. Thank you Nikki for the fabulous welcome.

A beautiful setting and friendly, knowledgeable hosts. The view from the hot-tub is gorgeous, the hot stone massage is so relaxing, the food amazing and the accommodation very comfortable. All in all, a fabulous experience.

Absolutely beautiful! Lovely people, amazing vegan food, and a vacation that ultimately felt too short. Would love to visit again.

Would recommend renting a car - it's not far from Angouleme but would take a fair amount of time to walk everywhere.

10/10 experience - the gite was fantastic !

The beds were so comfortable, the hospitality was so nice, us weary tired, vegetarian travelers were cheered with a hot meal for everyone, even my grandmother, who will not eat anywhere that has meat in the same kitchen. The decorations were so nicely placed and litttle quirks were the best thing. Also, the barn was an amazing idea. My top places to sleep would be the tipi or the barn, so ask about that. If you are staying in the teepee, make sure you ask because france is in a drought and open fires may be illegal. All in all loved the food and the beds, and of course the wonderful hosts. The location js very good as well.

Paradise! Tasty breakfast, yummy dinners, (vegan, vegatarian, gluten free and home grown veggies) relaxing massages, hot tub with a view, chilling hammocks, awesome pool table and most of all warm and lovely hosts!! If you just want to slow down and relax come and visit this place :)
