This lovely little collection of gîtes certainly has the looks going for it but does it satisfy elsewhere?

With a cute closed off pool with relaxing scenery and accessories to go along with it, the relaxation is covered. But the actual gîtes themselves are small and not at all well lit which certainly is a colossal turn off.

However it is of no worry as the location is perfect, as it is situated just a ten minute drive to the beach if that's your cup of tea. Also the picturesque village of Avrille, which promotes a days worth of exploration and dining options.

Furthermore the O'gliss water park is nearby which could be an option for the kids or even a relaxing alternative to the regular beach or pool. But the real star of the show has to be the critically acclaimed Puy Du Fou theme park which was voted world's best theme park last year and thoroughly deserves it too.

It is hard to describe Puy Du Fou as anything other than spectacular as it takes a unique spin on the theme park scene. With a massive revolving set piece knight fight, and a famous thousand bird, bird show ( to name a few) Puy Du Fou is a must see, even if it is quite costly. But please. Trust me on this, you will not be disappointed.

The Gîtes themselves are small and adequate and this is where the cracks start to show obviously. The rooms were dirty and not well ventilated and this is almost hellish in the summer when I visited.

Overall, I would say that It is thoroughly worth staying here, but mainly for the surroundings. The pool is a slight consolation, however the Gîtes are less than adequate for staying in. Nevertheless I would still recommend this place and hope you enjoy your holiday as much as I did.
