There was lots a street sellers selling everything from olives to fresh fruit and veg.

Amazing to see old pictures of how it used to be in contrast to how it is now. Full of history.

Gorgeous picturesque little castle in the middle of the river. Went there on a cloudy and rainy day but it didn’t fail to amaze us! Will probably be prettier when the sun is out but it is worth a visit .

Beautiful historic building that used to be a prison and now houses a museum. We found the ground floor most interesting, which was about the building and had texts in multiple languages including English. The other floors were more about the local history of Annecy, which had texts only in French. It is pretty small and we were inside for less than an hour.

There are a lot of people, and you’ll need to be patient to be able to take photos from the bridge in front of it. There are plenty of restaurants, ice-cream shops and souvenir shops in the area. You can visit the inside of this palace to know more about the history of it. The price of an adult ticket is 3.80euros, and 2euros for children and free for under 12 years old.

Annecy's landmark, functions as a museum. Entrance fee is reasonable (3,80 euros) and one can gather information both about the building and Annecy's history. Designated room/space for children and very friendly staff!

It was used as a prison. Today, it is an exhibition place about the architecture and the heritage of Annecy's territory. It offers a permanent tour of the history and heritage of this area. You can visit the former court rooms, the former cells and dungeons of the prisoners, as well as the former chapel.

So pretty. The building cuts the canal into a fork and it just looks perfect. We did not go in or anything, we just visited because it looks beautiful in the water.
