Santosha Yoga

I had the pleasure of attending a 4-day yoga retreat at Santosha Yoga and had an incredible experience from beginning to end. Both Gillian and Neal were fascinating people with great stories and knowledge to share, not to mention very hospitable hosts. We enjoyed delicious vegan food prepared by a gourmet chef throughout the retreat. And the surrounding landscape is idyllic and extremely peaceful. Highly recommend.

A true hidden gem!!!! Gillian and Neil have lovingly restored this beautiful building into a peaceful retreat centre. With beautiful gardens, quiet lounge areas and terraces with breathtaking views. A large studio space to practice in. Great rooms with comfortable beds and a highlight for me are the composting toilets.
I have attended 2 retreats here and cannot wait to return to this wonderful area and spend time with Gillian and Neil.

I have had the great privilege of attending 2 retreats at the beautiful Santosha retreat center, and I can wholeheartedly say it is one of the most special, peaceful places I have been! The space is just lovely, with views overlooking the French countryside and hills. You can tell how much love has been put into each detail of the space. The food each day was so delicious and nourishing. And a plus is visiting the local French market on Sundays! Santosha really is a sacred healing getaway for anyone looking to recharge and nurture themselves, and I cannot wait to go back!

I had the privilege of leading an annual retreat to Santosha from the years 2015-2019 and am eager to return at some point because it is one of the most special places and very close to my heart. It's really best to go an experience it yourself, but here are some of my words to encourage you to say yes to visiting, should you be lucky enough to have the opportunity!

1. Beauty Everywhere: The village, the home, the yoga studio, the garden, the landscape that you see when you look out your window.....it's a most stunning locale. And the possible daytrips to explore quaint villages and go on beautiful hikes are endless and each one special in its own way. If you want to be inspired daily by your surroundings, this is the place.

2. Gillian + Neil: The stewards of this piece of heaven are two of the loveliest and most interesting people I have met. They care deeply about this place and the people that visit. They have strong ethics in the decisions they've made in creating Santosha which I appreciate and respect. They work with creating as little impact on the land as possible and theirs is a labor of love. My retreat participants have commented that Gillian and Neil make this place and experience a special one. They are good people who bring good into this world and I'm honored to know them.

3. The food! Vegan deliciousness. I've gotten to try such amazing food here and learned so much about how delicious and nutritious vegan food can be. My body and mind feel so healthy and clear after a week at Santosha:)

I can go on and on but this is enough for now, and I hope you got this far in reading this! Every person I've guided to Santosha over the years recognizes it's an amazing place and is so glad they made the choice to go. It's one of those places you'll cherish in your memories for a lifetime.

I run a retreat at Santosha every year. Gillian and Neil have created the perfect environment for yoga retreats and are exceptional hosts. The centre is in a beautiful area, and Gillian and Neil will help you enjoy it to the max. Good vibes, tranquility, beauty - Santosha has it all.

I had such a nourishing time with Neil and Gillian at Santosha. Their project is inspiring, and I had so much fun reading their books and learning about how they built everything. They were perfect tour guides of the area, which is absolutely gorgeous, and really allows for immersion in a slower way of life. If you're looking for a nourishing get away, or to plan a group retreat or event, I highly recommend!

We had a beautiful experience at Santosha, super relaxing and there is an amazing shala, where we did our daily yoga practice. Gillian is an excellent host and the food was absolutely delicious. Definitely would love to go back again!!!

I’ve been to Santosha a few times and will always return! The eco-lodging and gourmet organic vegan food are second only to the phenomenal countryside of southern France and the gracias and knowledgeable hosts. 100% would recommend for anyone looking for extraordinary experiences

I cannot recommend Santosha enough! It is a beautiful place filled with such healing and calming energy. The surrounding land is so peaceful and nurturing. So much thought and detail has gone into the space. It's truly a special place!

Un super lieu, une grande maison ancienne restaurée avec coeur et en plus une vue fantastique ( mont Bucarach) un grand patio trés agreable et un superbe jardin. Des conditions d hebergement avec une âme grâce aux hotes aux petits soins et d'une grande générosité. Une très belle salle de yoga .Merci Gillian et Neil !

Un très beau lieu pour des stages. La maison est magnifique, tout est fait avec goût dans les moindres détails pour créer une harmonie. La salle de pratique est grande et lumineuse. Cuisine vegan. Et les hôtes sont charmants.
