Stopped for one night at the Ibis next door on our way back to UK from Tenerife. Decided to try Hippopotamus after reading previous reviews and were not disappointed. The place was really busy so service did slow down but nothing to put us off the place. We were served by Nadia, who spoke excellent English, was smiling and friendly. Lovely demeanour. Food was really nice especially the chocolate mousse and the creme brulee. The wine, Chateau Gantonnet was excellent. Would definitely recommend but if you go on a Friday try and get in soon after 6.30 if you haven't booked a table.

Good food, good beer, good service. Bit expensive but you are in France. Same sort out price as Tgifridays but much better quality. Our waitress spoke decent English, didn't need to but did . Nice touch

He is a lot of little restaurants inclement from in France it's a very good steakhouse excellent service that three or four budget hotels around they're not so lovely restaurants and bistros near as well
