L'Imprévu

Ate here on recommendation by a local at whose house we were staying on passing through Agen. Great choice - and our waiter spent time in our isolated city of Perth, Australia. Food and service were excellent - we had the lamb ribs and the duck and the flavours were amazing. Street parking is impossible but there is a paid parking area only about 100m or so away. Well worth a visit.

We were on holiday in Agen and based on the excellent reviews for L'imprévu we reserved for dinner for our wedding anniversary on 05 October. We were not disappointed. The food was excellent, the staff although busy had time to take a photo for us! When we arrived at 1900, it was very quiet, but within half an hour the restaurant was very busy. Definitely recommend reserving even mid week. We had the lamb ribs and entrecôte. Both cooked and seasoned to perfection. We would return if we didn't live so far away.

My wife and I have been cycling the canal from Bordeaux. Arriving this afternoon on our bikes, we were tired and famished. We set out to find a restaurant offering local cuisine that wasn't too far from our location that we could walk to. We both decided on Imprevu on 7 rue Camille Desmoulins in Agen.
We started with a bottle of local red Merlot.
Then added an appetizer of roasted camembert with nuts and fruits. Then our main courses of scallops and risotto and a buratta and pea pesto risotto dish. We followed with an amazing dessert assortment.
Although the staff was very busy, they were prompt and respectful.
We couldn't have been happier with our choice this evening!

Lovely place for lunch. Good for families, celebration events or with friends. Food was great, the staff were friendly and helpful and the price was great. Several options of set lunchtime menus including a main and dessert for €16.50. Will definitely recommend to others. We had the steak and the vegetarian risotto which were both delicious.

Very good restaurant, reasonable prices. Would go again if I could!

I had a blast last night. From the beginning to the end, the staff was helpful and happy to give any advice. The bill wasn't expensive at all. It's a small place in a quiet street in the heart of the city and it's better to book if you want to eat there. I will go back

Vraiment une très bonne adresse. N'hésitez surtout pas si vraiment vous voulez bien manger. Pensez néanmoins à réserver car vraiment populaire dans la région.
Bref une très belle découverte que je vous recommande vivement.

Je tiens d'abord à remercier le geste commercial du responsable. Il a visiblement eu un samedi soir très chargé, avec un groupe imprévu. Et pourtant il a bien géré la situation. Le service à été irréprochable. La qualité de la cuisine est également irréprochable. Les assiettes sont colorées, copieuses, et les recettes originales. Le decor est joli. Même si le restaurant est rempli, on ne s'est pas senti mal à l'aise.
Je recommande absolument cette adresse, et remercie tout le personnel.

Nous sommes venus sur Agen pour 2 jours en point d’étape avec notre fille de 3 ans et notre petit chien. Notre hôtel étant sans restauration, il nous a fallut trouver dés jeudi soir un restaurant. Et bien nous ne pouvions pas mieux tomber qu’a l’imprévu. Très bel établissement, super déco, personnel très accueillant sympathique et professionnel, service impeccable et alors la carte!! Une carte riche et variée (même le menu enfant comporte 3 plats), même originaux avec de vrais saveurs. Tout est fait maison et tout est excellent! Tellement excellent que nous avons fait tous nos repas là-bas! Pour un prix plus que correct en plus. On avait pas fait un aussi bon restaurant depuis très très longtemps. Si vous cherchez un vrai bon restaurant, ne cherchez plus, réservez à l’imprévu!

Excellente expérience ! Dans un décor très soigné nous avons été ravis par un service agréable, rapide et impeccable. Les plats sont excellents et les prix très correct…

Le cadre et la qualitée des repas sont irréprochables, de l’apéro jusqu’au dessert , il y a rien à dire , tout est parfait et cuisine avec goût ( voir les photos)
En revanche , un peu déçu sur la rapidité du service: nous profitions de notre entrée et nous avons de suite nos verres pour le repas ainsi que le repas alors que nous avions encore de l’entrée en bouche. ( j’en ai d’ailleurs fais la remarque au serveur )
Mais cela ne mérite pas une mauvaise note loin de là, simplement une petite remarque, nous avions l’impression d’être oppressée et qu’il fallait vite repartir , nous avons mis donc un peu de temps sur le repas pour ne pas repartir au bout d’une heure ( arrivée à 21heures)

Si vous recherchez un restaurant avec beaucoup de goût , une bonne ambiance avec un rapport qualité prix plus que correct, foncez !!!
