Best Hiking/Outdoor/Surplus/Freetime... clothing shop!

I am quite a big guy (190cm/120kg), and I was pretty sure I can't find a new wind/rain-proof field jacket from their shop. But three polite Varusteleka´s service professionals diligently poked around the whole shop&store rooms, and found me great jacket fitting for me like tailor-made one! That "Särmä"-brand jacket was tested yesterday on Baltic sea shores in heavy wind and snowing and I don't remember when I have had as good jacket to move and work outdoors. Coat kept snow and rain and humidity outside, and the design&cut of the coat made operating in complicated positions easy, still covering my body properly.

The materrial of the coat is protectively thick and durable, so I wonder how its price could be so reasonable.

Extra plus for the professionals of the Helsinki Shop, they were service-minded, competent and their good humor in answering to my ironic talking (tired in trying to find clothes from markets) is a great plus.

I bought the Jakkari m patrol ruck along with some extra webbing and 10/10 service all around and this was in 2017/2018 just now getting to do a review wish I would've bought the jakkari L though.

Customer service is outstanding! Last month I walked in to purchase all of their chest rigs for my boys. I purchased over 55 of them. They packed them up and had everything neatly handed to me. I was able to get the rigs back to my boys. I will be coming back soon to purchase another large order of products. Thank you!!!

I was very impressed with them as I received my order in Canada in a week at a modest shipping charge. The Terava knives are excellent values and I can see why everyone is talking about them.

A good, spacious, clean shop with army clothing, bags, and other supplies. There are also brand new items for sale with the shop's own brand.
There is also a friendly bar, where you can stop for a drink or two, and play their own "klask" tabletop game.

I couldn't be happier with my first purchase from this store. The prices are very reasonable, stock on things I can't even acquire in Canada at any price is outstanding and shipping is more reasonable and speedy than many domestic options. I can't even believe how smoothly everything went. I can't wait to find a reason to order more from these guys!

A great shop. Selling military-grade gear for outdoor activities, military-related activities and so on. Clothes, bsckpacks, dryfood, shoes etc. Mostly high quality army stuff in a nutshell. The staff is friendly and very helpful. There is a lot of parking space if you come by car and also places to lock your bicycle if u come by bike. There is a small cafeteria inside.

Excellent place for various range of camping, hiking, tactical, military new&surplus plus much more gear that I didn't even noticed while visiting first time.

Big kudos to warm, friendly and deeply in the know staff. I even asked random question about advanced first-aid courses and like we say in Finland I got the answer directly from the shelf of Pharmacy. No pun intended.

Now I'm regular. Who knows that I might even be working there some day. 😁

Easy and full 💥💥💥💥💥.

I visited the place on account of their annual flea market and the possibility to donate goods to Ukraine. While I don't collect militaria myself, it's well worth visiting. The sellers were very friendly and knowledgeable. The same goes for Varusteleka's staff. I got to fondle a deactivated MG42 machine gun -- Hitler's buzzsaw. Unreal.

An excellent place to go if you are looking for quality military gear. A wide range of products ranging from underwear to deactivated historical firearms. The store also features a bar, which serves high quality beer.

Everybody should visit this shop at least once. Experience is very different to any other shop.

Personally I like second hand surplus stuff. They carry wide range of good quality camping gear.

Service is also good and they have big warehouse in the same building.

Largest military surplus store in Europe. Sells used and new military surplus clothing and equipment. Also carries a line of their own products. The store has a bar inside with a nice beer selection.

Varusteleka has some of the best customer service I've seen in a long time. I was able to find myself perfect shoes with help from a very nice and professional salesperson. He wasn't pushing me products I didn't need, but instead was even willing to show me products from other stores in case they wouldn't have had the shoe in my size.

5/5, will go back in case I ever need help with outdoor gears again.

One very long-term customer here. Best military surplus store in Finland. Always friendly customer service, wether it is happening online or in the store. Always found the products that I have been looking for + much more. Sense of humour in marketing is very delightful as well. The service is also very fast, usually my orders have been shipped on the same day after ordering or at latest, day after. No problems whatsoever. Additional plus for their own brand for recycled products and equipment. Keep up the good work!
