Hotel Punkaharju

Top job, madame Saimi and staff! Very interesting menu, two shared lunch for one and got stuffed and happy! The waitress (Estonian?) was SO lovely! ♥ Sweet location in one of Finland's most beautiful surroundings.

Hotel is nice and clean. There is change to get room from the lake side of the house. Sun shines late at the night and the lake's view is nice to have. Food is excellent. There is this moose tartar that is something else. Very romantic and atmospheric place. You can also rent kajacs, bikes and such, so you have other ways to see the surroundings. By walk you can also see nicely lot of the side of the lake.

Best food, good service, clean forest environment, excellent scenery. This was third summer that we wisited here.

For snorkeling there's no need to go to further than the Hotel beach. Warm clear water, plenty of small fish in schools, some old wooden structures if You dive deeper.

Had a sunny June Sunday lunch at the restaurant. Buffet of local fish and mushrooms. Absolutely delicious! The best mushroom salad I've ever had! Great atmosphere and view over the nearby lake.

Beautifully maintained hotel with a lovely restaurant. Sauna is near the lake and available at no extra charge. Wi-Fi accessible only in the lobby & restaurant. Bathroom had a heated floor. The description says it has A/C but we couldn't find it.

Great scenery, friendly funny staff !! Asl for the mushroom drink 🍄 🍸! (Kinda like a rum sour?) Its great !!! The bartender with a long beard is very nice ! Todella mukava! Kiitos

Stayed in one of the forest cabins. It was much larger than I expected, which was a nice surprise. Windows have mosquito nets, so you can get nice draft through the cabin. However you might consider taking mosquito spray to get rid of the ones which have slipped in. Location is awesome very close to lake and you can easily find a place to go swimming in the clear lake water. And by the way hotel towels are big, so you can wrap yourself in them. However be adviced that forest cabins do not have running water or toilet. There are outhouses nearby and taps to get drinking water. Shower and water closet is avaible in a shipping container type arrangement.

And if you are not visiting during midsummer you might want bring a flashlight for midnight walks.

Really good experience: they have put some effort there so that place itself is a quality place. Lunch was almost perfect and service is worth of mention. Times are hard so all the best for owner.

Beautiful nature, charming old hotel and most tastefull lunch-buffet. Many warm thanks to the owner and the rest of the staff. We'll come back!

Great local fine food and beatifull enviroment. In Mid December it's very quiet in Punkaharju, but here you get VIP service to enjoy the silence in snowy nature.
