Cafe Porotupa

This is the cutest little cafe you'll ever go to. It's so tiny in size yet so big with warmth. Delicious homemade cakes & pies "made with love", as the sign says, friendly service, and nice ambiance.

Went to Finland for a weeks holiday and came across this fab cafe. Wonderful welcome, wonderful people and wonderful food. The best salmon soup and crepes we have ever tasted. Will definitely go back on our next visit.

This little cafe (yes, you have to take it literally) offers a great opportunity to get in contact with people from all around the world. The owners are very open, kind and friendly. Make sure to listen to all their stories. :-) Oh yeah and by the way: The offered food is simply delicious! That applies for the drinks as well.

Stopped by on a walk around town, it has to be the smallest cafe i have ever been in. They have a few tables outside if you really want to but inside is super cosy. Expect to share a table with others, with lots of nationalities chatting with each other and the owners who are very friendly and helpful. Hot berry juice, cakes, hot choc, pancakes, soup, coffee. Just what a nippy afternoon calls for. Liked it a lot

Cozy little café (fits maybe 12 people at once inside), amazing daily soups for lunch (~10 Euros), and super nice owners to have a chat with. If you're in Saariselkä, make sure to check this place out.

Really cozy place, small and lively. It's great talking to the owner, many stories, many nationalities visit. Daily different soups such as salmon, reindeer, chicken, sweet potatoes. Lovely desserts, every day something new!

This place is a little gem in the middle of Saariselka. It is just a shack with a log burner in it and run by two guy's. Always a warm welcome from them and hot coffee and hot chocolate always available after either a walk or any other activerty. Simple food as well available but I can highly recomend the Salmon soup or the pancakes which are freshly made and are delicious. Called in 1 day just to try it and ended up going in everytime we passed it. Just awesome, a must if in Saariselka.

Excellent little cafe with hot, delicious soups and pastries. Athmosphere is cosy and relaxed. Have a cup of warm drink and sit by a fire - a perfect break! Prepare yourself to chat with the host/owner, a polite and charming gentleman.

What a lovely, heartwarming place in the centre of Saariselka. A must visit I would say! The place is so small and cosy that people start talking to each other like this is normal in a café. De food and drinks of Marko are truly delicious and all homemade! Do yourself a favor and at least visit him once to see and taste for yourself!

A very lovely, small and cozy cafe with delicious, daily fresh made soup and a range of pastris. It was always a pleasure to sit on the table, talking with other travellers and enjoy Markos chili-chocolate cake 😍
