Tytyri Mine Experience

It is worth to visit these mines 110 meters below the ground level. Remember to carry some warm clothes as it is cold inside mines else you have to pick blankets from the counters which is not very convenient.

Exciting and beautiful glimpse into Finnish mining history in Lohja. We had a blast! The staff in the mines were extremely knowledgeable about the mine history. If you are in southern Finland you need to make it here!

Had a Halloween experience, would recommend. The guide had a talent of storytelling.

I was there with my boyfriend and we both enjoyed it :) Everything was explained really well, an informative and beautiful experience.

I really enjoyed the experience. There are really few places in Finland where you can spend 2 hours in a guided tour for such a low price and the experience is really interesting. From the super fast elevator to the tunnels and the art exhibition. I would recommend it for families with kids and for people interested in geology or science in general.

A breath taking museum! Its huge, you get a tour guide and there are multiple art installations in it which where stunning! There's a lot and you will not be dissapointed if you visit it. Absolutely recommend this place. The guide was also very good and answered lots of questions! I also like it a lot that old mines can be converted into museums and have art in them! Just stunning.

Interesting and unique tour of a mine. Museum is not massive, but enough to do for about 2 hours. Guided tours available in English and Finnish.

It was a very interesting and funny tour. The tourguide Opas was very kind and courteous. Its also a good tour for kids , they can learn a lot about the mine.

Very interesting place to visit. Sundays they have guieed tours in English too.

Tytyri Mine has improved since they built the new visitor center in 2016. The tours are just long enough to give a good overview of the operations without feeling excessively long. Our tour was 1 hour and 15 min and had to be booked in advance due to Covid-19 limitations which keep the group sizes to a maximum of 20. I do miss the rickety old mineshaft ramp entry which was how you got to 112m depth back in "the old days" before 2016. Even most kids should be relatively entertained. Just remember to bring warm clothes, it's about 8 celcius.

A great old mine to visit. It goes over 100m bemow the ground surface with a modern KONE elevator. An hour tour for adults, and 1,5h with children. The guides are awesome with clear enthusiastic voice and great mindset for helping. Book your tickets in advance if possible.
The mine itself is a place to experience, with an outstanding finish.
