Excellent X-mas buffet (fish) and very relaxed athmosphere. Not fine dining but the food was excellent. Not too busy either.n

If you’re on your way to north or south, this place is definitely best place to friends of fish food. If you’re in a hurry salmon soup is always available (afaik), but fish & chips is worth a wait. Best f&c in Finland.

The best fish restaurant in Oulu is located in Tupos

Nice and big dining area, with something to look at on each corner. There's terrace seating too. Noticable building, decoration fitting to the restaurant style. Event the yard road has anchor lamp poles. Located little out bound from south of Oulu. Next to a busy road that doesn't disturb the area at all.

At Lunch time you can get everything served Kalalautanen at the counter. You can see all food served and choose everything added to your plate. They told us you may get another serving if interested, inside the lunch time. Food is cleaned off as the lunch time closes. Restaurant has a la cart platings as well, waiting time approximately 15-20 minutes depending how busy restaurant is. Hot food served is a good choice for a busy traveller. Plate portion is big, everything amazing and almost everything related to FISH, served with potatoes in 2 ways, 2 side salads and veggies. Also serves lovely fish soup, free self-serving. Bread table and coffee/tea included in Lunch.

The place also has a little food store, selection has mainly fish products. Includes also berry juices as well finnish ice cream. The parking area is big. Surrounded by fields of flowers (Anthriscus sylvestris). Little peaceful field road that leaves from the parking, to walk dogs. Unfortunately the place doesn't have a shade place to park, but at windy day window opening work pretty well. Must sideturn on your trip.

Soup is excellent. A bit salty, but I guess I use less salt than most. There is also a nice terrace if that’s important.

This place came totally out of the blue. It's in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by a service station and some bleak industrial buildings. I ordered a salmon sandwich not expecting much, but ended up having the best damn sandwich in my life. Five stars+
