The Merry Monk Gastropub

Went because of the good reviews of Fish and Chips and was not dissapointed! Really really tasty and the fish was fresh and the batter was light and crispy. I myself would prefer mushy peas with my F&C but it was still delish.

I got an Ice coffee and that was just to my liking and they asked whether I wanted syrup in it or not, which I really appreciated.

Also had the "Räspöö Mess" dessert. That could be improved, I liked the sea buckthorn sauce but there almost wasn't any meringue in my dessert 😅

All in all I really recommend if you are in the area, the fish and chips is worth the drive 😉

Took a long drive from Rauma to visit. Well worth the drive. All of us very pleased with the meal. No wait service, you order from the seasonal menu at the counter. Fish and chips, halloumi and chips, and lamb burger were all top notch.

The coffee was very good! The most lovely cappuccino, also possible with oat milk.
Staff was really friendly.

The view of the water is amazing.
The food was fine. Not that special, but great that glutenfree options are available.

Amazing place! Last time we waited 1h for our food but this time, with the whole place fully packed, our food came in like 15 mins. And the taste is just so great. They ONLY serve local meat so definitely take that. Moreover, the carrot cake is just a fantastic dessert to eat with a quick cup of coffee.

Such a lovely place for good food. The place has outdoor seating with a beautiful view of the sea. Exceptionally friendly staff.

Hit and home run! Wonderful scene, excellent and fresh food. Dog-friendlineds is the cherry of the cake!

I guess we arrived on a slow Friday but service was still very good. The food was absolutely delicious. My husband got the pork and I got a burger. The pork came with these delicious cinnamon carrots and I went home and tried to make something similar. We will definitely be going back but maybe on a busy night.

I go there for the Fish & Chips. Lived in the UK for around 6 years, most of it in Scotland, and this is the best F&C I ever had. The place is simple and welcoming and the staff is very pleasant. Other items on the menu look delicious too 😊

The burgers we got were delicious! Great variety of meals, many ingredients from local farmers and very friendly staff. Definitely worth a visit!

They have amazing fish & chips, even better than the ones in the UK. They have good drink selections too. Staff are very friendly. I highly recommend this place.
