Green Lodge Wondogenet

Stayed in a separate 3 bedroom lodge owned and connected with Green Lodge in rural Wondo Genet in August 2018.
The accommodation is in beautiful setting with connection to main Green Lodge site and garden. The garden is beautiful in terms of its diversity and beauty from coffee plants to bee hives, avocados to bananas.
The staff led by Daniel Kumalo are very warm and welcoming. They were attentive to our every need.

Beautiful place, very lush compound and good coffee and food at the cafeteria.

The best Available lodge in Wendo Genet. I highly recommend for those who are looking for accommodation in Wendo Genet.

This lodge is situated about 20 KM East of "Hawassa" town in small village called "Wondogenet". I would say It is in the middle of a forest or farm. The total area of the compound is about 2 hectare, there are lot of different types of plants inside ,false banana, trees, herbs, fruits (Avocado, Guava, pineapple, banana) & sugar cane. Even they keep bees, the place is evergreen & so beautiful. I was allowed to walk everywhere in the compound & it was astonishing. There are also a lot of birds to watch . But they have only four rooms which are built in way of the local tradition, each room have double bed and have moderate cleanness however need to do much more on the cleanness of the toilets. No TV in the rooms & no Internet (they told me, it has been planned to install soon).
The restaurant seems focused on traditional foods, the taste is good on average. The team is very friendly, eager to show you all what they got & very cooperative. I spend one night, my time there was really enjoyable. When I wake up the next morning they even washed my car & make it shiny!!
They have also a meeting room which can accommodate about 50 peoples. Price is cheap & looks the compound is well secured, I suggest for couples, families... to spend there weekend far from the rush in towns.
