This compact outdoor gear shop carries everything required for walking the Camino. You can arrive in St. Jean empty-handed and find all your essentials here. Nadia and a helpful gentleman, whose name slipped my mind, are exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable about the equipment. Simply inquire about what you need; I wholeheartedly endorse this store.

A must visit before you take your first steps on the Camino Francés. Even I was already well equipped, it is a good inspiration for some handy items.

I lost my backpack and all my gear in Dubai Airport right before I started my journey of Camino Frances.

Thank god this wonderful store offers everything I need to complete this great journey.

The blue hat, the orange coat, the black pants and Smartwool socks are all great.

Buen Camino😇😇😇

We were looking at treking poles out front and the owner(?) came out to help. He was amazingly friendly and answered all our questions. We bought the poles the morning before we started the camino.

On the morning of the Camino we had a user problem with one of the poles. We went in, he remembered us, answered the question and then without asking, kindly showed us the correct set up for our heights and how to best use them. Amazing place, so glad we found it!

I didn't bring my hiking poles and found a very good deal from this shop (20€). Very friendly staff as well.

I am so grateful for the help of La Boutique Du Pélerin. They repaired my walking pole and didn't charge me any money. Had my backpack been notvthat heavy, I would have bought something from this shop as a courtesy to thank their help. This shop also sells the goods not more expensive than anywhere else even though they are atvthe starting point of the Camino Santiago de Compostela. Thank you so much. Merci Beaucoup 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Knowledgeable staff. Also very friendly and attentive. I bought a walking stick here for a decent price and got help how to change the height. They speak English very well. They sell anything you need to have a good Camino. Backpack, walking poles, clothings and also lots of gadgets and souvenirs.

Visited back in June of 2019. Super convenient little shop with EVERYTHING that you could possibly need to hike the Camino de Santiago. I bought a pair of hiking poles on the morning of the first day of my hike. They were a decent pair for a fair price that handled the task superbly. Couldn't have done the hike without them.

My review is 4 years too late but the wonderful experience stuck with me. In May 2019 i turned up at this wonderful shop to rather spontaneously (and probably naively) undertake the first section of the Camino de Santiago, whilst travelling in Europe. The owner was unbelievably helpful. She guided in me what I should buy and what was okay to go without. I bought an entire new hiking bag which (second to following Jesus) was one of the best decisions I've ever made. My camino would have been DISASTROUS without changing the awful painful bag that I had. The lady advised me on which rucksack to get and the one I bought is truly wonderful and I still have today, having taken all over the world (I also spotted the same bag on season 1 of Race Across the World). She even helped me donate my old bag. Under her expert advice, I bought lots of other things at this lovely shop which I still have including an foldable inside bag which I still have and take to work at the hospital. And some lovely crocs flip flops which I truly love and are still treating me well despite having used them extensively all over the world.

I had such a lovely experience at your shop that I had to post even after all these years. I highly recommend everyone visit this shop. Buen Camino

Nadia was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. She could sell ice to Eskimos. She convinced me to pay more for a quality set of hiking poles. 5 days into the Camino, I'm so glad I followed her recommendation.

Very fair prices: I got a pair of telescoping hiking poles for 22€ and a made-in-Spain Buff gaiter for about 20€ (for sun protection on my neck). They also have little souvenirs (magnets, bracelets), guidebooks, and seashells. The staff was welcoming, knowledgeable, and patient. I recommend this shop to pilgrims, and I'd definitely go again.

My old backpack gave up on the way to Saint-jean-pied-du-port, so had to buy a new one. They let me take the new backpack to the camping where all my stuff was, so I could try if everything fit and I could come back after to pay for it if it was the one I wanted. This service is 10/10. The store itself has lots of useful items for on the road for various prices. If you are a pelgrim and need anything. Go here!

I arrived at this store in July after walking from Lourdes on severely infected blisters. They recommended a pair of Smartwool socks. Truly saved my Camino! Friendly and informed owners. This place is a treasure.

Lost all my gear travelling. Staff were incredibly helpful and helped replace everything with good quality gear that lasted my trip and beyond. On top of that I felt like they weren't trying to rip me off. Would return.

Hha very funny shop. There's a person outside, but it's not a person. We were coming down the hill and from that side it looks like a person in rain clothes on a really hot sunny day. We were thinking the weather was going to change soon and for a moment got worried, but we lolled so much when we we saw it. We went in the shop and it's quite expensive, much more than Decathlon at home.

I was very underprepared for the journey. The shop owner helped me pick a new pack out at 630 am. Fantastic service and i cannot recomend enough.
