El gato verde

Great food and beer. Started with a tapas of chips and toasted bread with a mushroom sausage and a sweet grilled onion. Had the Sandwich Brujas, nice fresh tasting sandwich.

Toledo, Spain is a city with a rich history and vibrant culture, and one of its highlights is the local food and drink scene and EL Gato Verde in one of them. Among the many culinary delights that can be found in Toledo, two stand out: the beer and olives one of the very best olives I even eat for real.
The beer in Toledo is a true gem they have a ton of local and international brands. The local breweries produce a range of beers that are a must to drink, from light lagers to dark stouts, all with a distinctive flavor and character that sets them apart from mass-produced beers just ask the guys for their recomendation.

Great place to share with friends. I really love the atmosphere it feels so welcoming and warm, today was the second time I visited El gato Verde with my husband and other friends from Honduras, and we
were fascinated with the variety of beers, the good food and the great service!!!
We’re coming back next weekend!

Good food, good beer, great "pub"

When Americans get together in a bar, it is loud. Not in Spain. We were respectfully asked to quiet down. We did and still had a great time. The food is amazing with a German theme.

Great bar staff work hard, amazing selection of beer. Tapas excellent.

We sat down and almost immediately the waitress came and asked us what we would like. For drinks we ordered the Schneider Original Tap. Nice and smooth amber beer. We liked that they offered 2 sizes because we usually prefer the larger one which is like a pint, but in Spain it’s called Jarra (mug).
For food we ordered Degustación Munich. Got a huge plate fit for two having four sausages. Two plain and two wrapped with bacon, very good. There lots of roasted potatoes, two huge pretzels, sauerkraut, and 3 kinds of sauces. Everything was nicely explained by the waitress.
Alma was extremely helpful and gave us fast, friendly, cheerful service. We’d recommend her and the restaurant anytime.

One of my favourite places in Alcalá so far. Had the Tabla de Patatas and the Limón Pie. Our waitress was amazing and worked with me on my Spanish. It was one of the louder restaurants I’ve been to here and reminded me a lot of restaurants in America and Canada.

I really appreciate the fact that they have a key of images that represent common allergens, so I could tell what was safe and unsafe to eat on the desert and drink menus (not the food menu, which is odd). Overall a great experience!

We had a wonderful Menu del Dia, with really friendly staff , a nice warm bar on a cold day in Alcalá !

Quite busy place, outstanding beer selection!
Few very good food options even if everything else is pretty basic bar food is served in a very nice way and presented as it should with lots of attention!
Just our server was quite disorganized but overall a very great experience

Found this place during a day trip from Madrid. Very cool atmosphere and very friendly wait service. I had the classic Tortilla Patata and it was excellent!

Huge variety of international beers, great service, nice atmosphere, and they serve food with every beer, and if you ask for vegan food they'll do it too.

Excellent place to drink and eat. They have beers of differents places around there world, the environment is friendly and nice. The price is accurate.
