La Rollerie Alcalá de Henares

The food is delicious and the quantity is ok, it tends to get busy, but it is worth the wait. The restaurant has a delightful ambiance, with beautiful decor.

Quite possibly the best food I've ever had. Really and truly. The restaurant itself is right on the street close to Plaza Cervantes and the environment inside is lovely. Warm, tasty-looking croissants and pastries in the front, and a quaint atmosphere in their seating area. I ordered the items shown, and loved both. The souffle dish had a special name I've forgotten, and was light and flaky. Then the sweet dish was amazing. Sweet chocolate creme over a fantastic cinnamon roll. Go here.

We went there to have lunch. I liked the food. The prices were reasonable. Nice staff. I recommend this place.

I went to this restaurant when I was visiting Alcalá de Henares with my family. The food was amazing, specially the pasta (which had salmon) and the place was very nice, it was a hot day but even on the outside tables you couldn’t even feel it!

GREAT FOOD AT A GOOD PRICE WITH A COZY AMBIENCE

Living in Alcalá de Henares for almost a decade, my wife and I have seen plenty of restaurants come and go (much faster than we'd like to, especially with those we've come to enjoy and cherish), but one constant and reliable fallback, in case nothing else seems appealing to us, has always been La Rollerie.

Located in the very center of Alcalá, just a minute of slow walking away from Plaza de Cervantes it's an oasis from the busy and dizzy town center, especially if you get a table in the backyard, which has been beautifully decorated and carefully designed to resemble a small town square; especially kids just love it.

We discovered the restaurant for the first time when touring Alcalá de Henares' center after moving here and visiting the Home of Cervantes' Museum, barely a hundred meters further down the road Calle Mayor. La Rollerie immediate stood out from the neighboring typically run-down fast-food equivalent of Spanish tappas bars, which Alcalá de Henares was actually quite famous for in the year leading up to our moving here, traditionally for high-quality tapas, but since then has seen a steady and drastic decline in it's quality of service and food (same portion, more expensive, less polite staff, etc.)...

... but not La Rollerie. From the first cinnamon roll with maple syrup as a quick afternoon snack after a long stroll though the town, accompanied by an excellent coffee back in the day, to meeting my new culinary requirements of recently having become a vegan and finding (a.o.) a delicious quinoa-burger on the menu, La Rollerie has never let us down and we'll always be coming back to this trusted, charming, cozy, delightful, and simply delicious restaurant in years and decades to come, for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Keep up the good work, and I've got only one remark to the staff and owner of La Rollerie: Please keep educating your future staff to be just as polite and attentive as they have been in years past. Thanks!

Very attentive service from Ángeles. Food was delicious (very fresh ingredients) with a wide range of items available to suit all of our group’s tastes. Recommend 100% and we hope to be back very soon!!

One of the only places in Alcala de Henares to find a varied and substantial breakfast menu.

Prices are reasonable and every breakfast is served with a tea or coffee.

Gets quite busy and there can be queues.

On the first day of the festival, we were looking for a place to refresh and regroup. So happy we found this wonderful oasis of good food and hospitality. Kudos to the friendly and superb English speaking waiter (sorry I didn’t catch his name) who helped us ordering a club sandwich and getting drinks.

Hope to visit Alcalá again and will certainly stop at La Rollerie! 👍🏼👍🏼

La Rollerie had been increasing my chances of getting diabetes. Their desserts are simply AMAZING for people having a real sweet tooth. Servers are sweet as well!

Had lunch and a coffee, food was excellent and a good choice on menu. It's often very busy and I can see why, worth a visit.

We usually have breakfast here , but it's nice for a snack or lunch/dinner too. Nice atmosphere and kind personnel.
