A wonderful find. Friendly staff, tasty well priced food. The kind of place that you are genuinely made to feel welcome and would be remembered on a second visit.
As an extra part of the experience is the pianist who helps complete the happy ambiance.
A real pleasure to spend an evening in.

We came here with my two very young boys and had the best family meal ever. The staff were so kind and entertaining. We spent over two hours here which was a first as a family. The food, atmosphere and service was excellent. We will be back again soon!!! We had such a lovely family night!

Absolutely love the restaurant. The staff are so helpful with allergies. As I suffer from anaphylaxis, it can be hard to explain the seriousness of allergies but this restaurant has been terrific. The food is delicious, I have had steak twice and my partner has had fish twice. Neither of us have any complaints. The atmosphere is fantastic with a pianist who plays subtle music while you dine. It isn’t overstimulating while you eat and provides a nice alternative to the loud music played in the hotels nearby. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and look forward to coming back.

Just over from our hotel fabulous experience was recommended the sea bream in salt it was one of the tastiest fish dishes I had plus the prices were good & I finished with an Old Fashioned with was top notch 👍

We have visited here for 2 nights out of 3 nights we have been here so far and it’s been delightful. The delicious food paired with friendly service significantly enhances the overall dining experience. The live music, featuring a soothing voice and diverse genres, adds a wonderful touch. The staff's warmth, especially towards kids, creates a welcoming atmosphere, making it a favorite for our son who genuinely feels their care and love. Highly recommended for a memorable dining experience.

If anyone is looking for somewhere to eat in Mogan, you need to visit Monaco Mar. By far the best steak house on the island! The staff are amazing and the food is second to none. We have visited upwards of 10 times on two separate holiday and have never been disappointed. Monaco Mar is definitely one of the main reasons we return to Gran Canaria!

We tested this restaurant twice during our stay in Mogan in mid Jan 2024. Seafood and steakes are great and fresh but what most important all staff members and owner Alex are very oriented for guests and clinate is done by master piano Player Gorge! Many thanks and fir sure we back.

We ate here most of our holiday last year and couldn’t wait to return. We hoped it would be as good as last year, but it wasn’t. It was even better!! The steaks are absolutely amazing, right up there with the best steaks in South America. Alex, Carlos and the team work tirelessly to keep all the customers happy. Without doubt the best restaurant on the island. I’ll be back!!

As others have written, Alex and his team make you very welcome here. Especially if you have kids, they take extra good care of them. Thus, this is a very good place for a family dinner.

I'm quite cautious about places that seem overly touristy. Like menus in 10 languages and with options from pizza and pasta to lobster, as is the case at Monaco Mar. However, I'm happy to say that Monaco Mar was a positive surprise. My grilled octopus was fresh and well prepared and the live music was really good.

I must say, though, that they are very busy and seem to run the place with too few people. Even though the service was very friendly and nice, it was a bit slow. But you're on vacation anyway, so maybe it doesn't matter too much.

Amazing staff, friendly and welcoming. We initially came for a drink as there was a chap playing the piano and then we stayed for dinner. Good food and great value! Carlos the waiter is a fantastic chap.

Second time eating here in a week holiday. Food has been really good and the waiting staff are very friendly and accommodating especially towards children - simple changes to menu to suit our little one were no problem at all. Guess we will be here again before we go home.

The Monaco Mar restaurant has been created from nothing by the owner Alex. His attention to detail in every way can been seen at the restaurant and in the service. My family and myself can honestly say this is the finest restaurant I have ever dined at. Not only what you see in presentation, cleanlinesses and quality of Fresh food being first class but what really makes a place you enjoy going to is the people. Alex and his whole team made the 6 nights we dined there a special night every night. The whole team could not do enough for all of our family. Not only have we found our place to eat when we go back but we have made new friends we are in contact with. First class 5 star every day of the week!
