The food here was out of this world.
Feel the chefs are well travelled. They have tried something and decided that they will cook it better than anybody else could.
Absolutely superb!

In San Sebastián, this restaurant is the place to go for exceptional food. We came to this place by chance and without any regrets. Everything you order is absolutely to melt for and always served with attention, care and charm.

Absolutely brilliant. What a hard working team. Brave too with gastronomy bursting with infinitives around every corner. A menu that at first appears very foreign in context. Almost embarrassingly I found myself (a Scot) ordering fish and chips. It put almost every fish and chips I’ve ever had to shame. I know that seems ludicrous and you might feel like throwing a handful of gambas de gabardina at my face, but honestly it was on another level. Quality, attention to detail, salt and sauce… no I’m joking. Bring your own brown sauce.

Absolutely fabulous food, great atmosphere. Ask for the specials, you will not regret coming here, and as it is slightly tucked away, it is not as packed as some other places.

Food is insanely good and reasonably priced relatively. Very nice spot. Not too busy either. The highlight of the old town. The team there were lovely too - a very helpful woman and a man from Brighton - very sound.

Delicious food, not the usual stuff (from our limited experience in this gorgeous town) and very friendly. Highly recommend. The local beer and wine they serve is also really tasty.

Superb beer; music so good the rest of the old town rinses their playlists; knowledge of the region is brilliant and culinary pedigree is next level.
Pintxos is from a distilled menu that absolutely slaps

If you're looking for a taste of heaven in San Sebastián, look no further than Bells Pintxo Bar. This pintxo bar, recently established by the talented owner operators Lancelot and Sara, is a true gem that will literally make you forget about all other restaurants in the city.
The pintxos and food at Bells are simply out of this world. Every dish is a masterpiece of creativity and seasonality, presented with stunning beauty and bursting with flavor. You'll find yourself amazed at the sheer range of textures and tastes that the kitchen manages to create, all using fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
But what really sets Bells apart is the service. Lancelot and Sara are warm, welcoming hosts who will make you feel right at home. They clearly love what they do, and it shows in every interaction with their guests. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and always happy to offer recommendations or answer questions.
If I had to give one cheeky piece of advice to the fine dining restaurants of San Sebastián, it would be this: watch your backs! Head chef Lancelot clearly knows what he's doing, and he's not afraid to take risks and push the boundaries of traditional Basque cuisine. Bells Bar is a force to be reckoned with, and I have no doubt that it will quickly become a household name in the culinary world.
So if you're in San Sebastián, do yourself a favor and head to Bells. Your taste buds will thank you, and you'll leave feeling like part of the family.

Visiting San Sebastián is always a pleasure, for the sights and definitely for the stomach. This time it wasn't different! we found a little jam in the old town "parte vieja" called Bells Bar and what a surprise..from the atmosphere to the service to the food everything was perfect one of the highlights of the night was the crumpet with local crab, delicious.
We'll definitely be back
