Great chance find when driving into Parc del Foix.....beautiful old castle and monastery with a picturesque village at their feet. Great views across the valley to L'Arboc.

So worth going - not sure whether the visit is worth it. It's open so rarely, I haven't managed. But the place itself is nice on its own (in spite of motorbikers trying to spoil it)

A nice walk through the village up to the castle and surrounding woodlands, with views of the Foix reservoir.

If you're staying at Villanova Park, turn right out of the park towards L'arboc then 10km up the road is Castellet. Stop and get out, you won't be disappointed

amazing place and view, too bad the castle is closed but worths walking around the village, it is so beautiful and rural, also the lake. it’s totally recommended
