Ristorante Pizzería Al Maccaroni

Second time we came here during the last week. We came back for their Focaccia that I had last time. My wife had it today and I had their pizza with ham. The lady serving us was very nice and spoke good English. The same with the gentleman who brought us the food later. Their focaccia is superb and the pizza was very good too. Will be back.

Overall an amazing experience. Very nice place by the beach. I recommend it! For a very good price also!

We ordered a tropicana pizza and a burrata pizza. For drinks a bottle of white wine. Pizzas were delicious and the house wine was amazing. EXTRA POINTS for the wine cooler!! Kept the wine cool in the burning hot temperature.

For dessert we ordered lemon sorbet and crepes. The crepes were very chocolatey. We thought the lemon sorbet would be more like ice cream but it was a smoothie. Still very good and refreshing.

The service was polite and kind. Nothing bad to say! Keep up the good work.

The food is really good and staff was very friendly. Came here again for some pizza and got the best and biggest calzone for €13!

A lovely restaurant along the Las Palmas beach with great views overlooking the sea. The food is very good, very authentic Italian cuisine with fresh pizzas and homemade pasta. A little touristy but Prices are very reasonable for the location. Would definitely recommend!

This is a review from late July, 2021.

Well, I do not know how to start. I and my fiancée were looking for a nice place to have a Canaries Spanish dinner and there pops this restaurant which name really convinced us this is the place: Tentaciones Ibericas. Little did we know that is only a place for people trying to fool any new tourist that comes by. This is our story.

We sat at the table, and because our Spanish is poor we wanted to be sure that our order will be taking care of in the right manner so we ordered in English. Since we just wanted to try something and not stuff our bellies we ordered a Paella Marisco that on the menu it says is for 2 persons, and we specifically stated that we wanted only one Paella. We ate, and bear in mind we are accustomed to Spanish food, therefore we rated the paella as a regular paella, tasteful, but with old seafood shells (one can see in the photo the meet is barely noticeable), overall the food being alright.

Then we wanted to pay our bill, so one of us went to the counter to pay it and also we wanted to leave our appreciation (a 20% off tip) since up to that point the service was alright. My fiancée handles the situation since her Spanish is better than mine and when she wanted to pay we encounter our worse experience in the Canary Islands. The server just informed her that the Paella that we were served is for 2 (no surprise in here since it was written on the menu as well) and that he actually ordered the chef to put more content in that Paella since is for two and he has to bill us actually two Paellas, which wasn't our intent from the get-go. Since the message came as a surprise for my fiancée she actually paid for those two paellas instead of one, leaving also the 20% tip, and we realized a little bit after that we got tricked when we wondered our-self of what happened. Retrospectively, another sign that we were tricked was when a piccolo delivered our order, not the server, and the piccolo looked a bit unhinged at the fact that at the table are two persons and he brought just one Paella with no additional dishes whatsoever. Later on, the server got the dishes to properly enjoy our meal.

One can see in the photos that the actual Paella Marisco is a small one, for just one person, not two, and that the server tricked us by adding on the bill another Paella Marisco, not by putting a quantity of 2 Paella Marisco at the moment he took our order.

Also, just a side note, don't bother to find the place on Google Maps, since the image on Google Maps is older and their restaurant does not appear in the place it is now (photos attached).

We do not recommend Tentaciones Ibericas for their unprofessional-ism.

Margarita, our waitress, provided exceptional service with a warm smile and great attention to detail. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was charming. We'll definitely be back!

Overall lovely restaurant, excelent dry age t- bone steak, they could refurbish tables and get better more confortable chairs.

Great to have gluten free pasta and pizza. So many choices too! The staff are fast and efficient. One of our visits they seated us in the adjacent restaurant as there wasn’t enough room in the main area, which was nice. Pizza Royal (with pear, prosciutto and Gorgonzola) was my fave.

Delicious Solomillo Roquefort, perfectly cooked and delicious Atun A La Plancha, also perfect. This atun was just too much for me and they gladly put the rest in a takeaway box! Very friendly staff with perfect English :-) And the lovely sun set is a free extra.

Walking down the promenade we had half decided on pizza / pasta for evening meal, so we went to look at the menu and enquire - we were welcomed by Francesco who was so helpful and made us feel so at ease. We settled on a table next to the beach and had a lovely meal, following Francescos recommendation for wine and Salmon ravioli in cream sauce mains, we also had bruschetta, and aubergine in Tomato sauce, and Tiramisu, all of which were excellent, food wise only the wrinkle potatoes starter was okish. All in all a very enjoyable occasion - did we mention Francisco ? A gem

We had great paella with seafood, and they offered a really nice spaghetti for kids. The only shortcoming is a lack of free starters, but the service is quite quick

Very very good pizza! Was surprised since my hometown Oulu in Finland traditionally delivers the best pizzas, hands down.
Anyway, tried to find weaknesses all the time while eating but for vain - it was perfecto, muy bien!😋 This could be the reason to move here permanently..

I really enjoyed my experience at Al Maccaroni. The staff was incredible and the food was the best that I had on las Palmas. Daniel was a great server and the lobster was cooked perfectly. I would highly recommend eating here.

Very Good Steak.
Definitely the best meal I eat in 1 Week Gran Canaria and one of the best Steaks I had the last few years!
I didn't like the sauce, but I ordered it separately (not sure, if it comes always separated)

Fantastic Sea food paella, Good Beer, very good service. Paella for two, two Beers, two tiramisu had costed 45 euros. Great place
