Such a peaceful, pleasant place to visit. Stroll through woodlands, fields and wildlife in this stunning location in Teror. It was free to park and look around Mon-Fri, I believe at the weekends you might need permission. We were left to our own to explore in which ever direction we chose. We stayed a few hours and throughly enjoyed it.

:) Loved it. It is like walking through history, a series of movie sets and an authentic farm at the same time. We did the R1 route taking the direct route up the hill of Osorio (around a 600m elevation gain and reward of panoramic views of Gran Canaria's North and would have been Tenerife Island if the cloud cover had not been so thick) and then taking the long route back along the North circle and Northeast edge of the Farm "FINCA" (route about 6km loop - 2 hours at a very moderate pace with stops for photos and blackberry snacking). Absolutely worth hiking in the area. You travel through so many various areas in such a short time. The dedicated picnic areas we did pass we nearly empty but filled with happy people who did say hi as you traveled past. You will share the trail with a lot of free range chickens and if your lucky find some ripe blackberries :) Full disclosure we did cheat! Or at least we think we did. Apparently hikers are required - for entry into the farm - to register on the Canary Islands Camping website even if your just there for the same day? The website was confusing as was the sign explaination. It does seem like you can be in the farm and area for hiking if you don't register - registration allows to park a car inside the farms car park and use the facilities? We went on a Sunday and we honestly didn't find anyone that seemed to work there and maybe saw about 40 people in total within the 200 hectares area of this farm. Once we started on the hiking route we saw no one on the whole trail except some of the locals whose homes you pass by along the parks edge. The rules about entry and use are very confusing - especially if you are not fluent in Spanish - as there is no toll gates or anyone who seems to check anything. Along the hiking route we took there are places were you go in and out of the farms park boundary at trail connections to other areas of the islands hiking network including at the top of Osorio hill and at these points their is no signage telling about barriers to entry for hiking. Another point about registering is even if you are registered with the Island government for camping you can not register for same day entry or use of this Farm. We did not know this until we were already inside and committed to hiking and had spent the gas and time to get there. We did register for the following day so at least the government would know it was us who were there and the registration process is free if you have already made a Canary Islands Camping account. We did not use any of the facilities and we parked outside of the farm at the cemetery parking lot near to the farms main entry gate and left our garbage in the public garbage cans outside by the cemetery. Absolutely worth it for hiking and surely for any of the registration bonuses as well. Go for it. Hint: Take a good quality photo of the trails map as trail markings are very limited along the routes and there are a series of offshoot trails etc that can be confusing. Also, lots of water to hydrate. Our hiking day it peaked at 36C with humidity. The R1 trail does have a lot of shade and can get a nice wind. Still super hot when exposed. Happy Hiking. :)

Walked around here enjoying the nature. We found sheep, chicken, and loads of bay laurel trees. A lot of very old oaks also. A really special place.

Great place for hiking (especially on hot sunny days). The trails are not all well marked, but you can't really get lost. Toilets on site and also space for picknick. Bring your own food and drinks

As part of the ARC+2018 we planted some trees, including one in remembrance of my brother Damon whose funeral took place back at home in England at the same time.
