Bar Gaucho

We found the restaurant by chance while exploring city of Pamplona. We were surprised by the wide range of typical Spanish snacks and the excellent and friendly service. We tried different pintxos. All dishes were perfectly prepared. Spanish beer went perfectly with the dishes. 👍

Don‘t leave Spain without a stop here. Nice atmosphere, honest prices and most excellent tapas. Must try.

Foie gras is heavenly, you have to order it from the counter as it is made fresh to order as with the jamon croquettes which are crispy on the outside and filled with deliciousness within.

The massive duck wanton is also very yummy as is the tinto verano.

The mini fries with truffle mushroom cream was okay only.

Price is reasonable for the quality and staff are friendly and efficient, and understand a bit of english!

Every. Single. Thing. Was amazing!! Service during busy times is like a circus, with shouting and three people deep at the bar, but amazing to watch! Order a few things when you can order otherwise you’ll be waiting a while again. The second time we went it was much calmer (off time of 4 pm) and it was delightful. I could see all the options. The truffle was delicious!! Definitely will not be disappointed if you go, and I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m passing through Pamplona… or maybe I’ll just move here…

I may have discovered the greatest tapa in the whole, world. They were all great however the artichoke, truffle and foie was quite simply spectacular.

About 20 variety of pinxtos. The fois micuit (warm pinxtos), the mushrooms in bechamel sauce, sea urchin, sous vide pork are excellent.
Protip.They will heat up pre-made pinxtos (on counter in display). You can also order warm pinxtos (made to order from the kitchen) like fois micuit.

The owner is super friendly and patiently helped us to choose some pintxos.
My favorite was the black pudding and foie!!!! We also tried the amazing roquefort toast with ham, the fried red pepper and the tortilla. Lovely local wines. Nice outdoor seating area and great people watching place. Service was really good too.

I would say Bar Guacho is one of the best places I did try ponchos. I definitely suggest this bar. It's a bit busy and sometimes tricky to find a place inside, especially on cold days.

Great place, very nice and lively atmosphere. It gets quite crowded around lunch time but it is part of its charme. The place offered a variety of vegetarian pintxos, which is a rare thing to find in Pamplona. I had the amazing mushrooms pintxo, blue cheese croquette and cheese and spinach tartlet pie, along with tinto verano (red wine and lemonade drink). Enjoyed it very much.

Pintxo food, amazing choice and options in this bar off the main square. Selection of food was varied and very tasty, ask about Postre( dessert) and you might get the amazing cheesecake. Great service, welcoming, and good vibe. Prices insanely cheap. Recommended highly.

Exceptional place to have dinner. Grab a table outside (before going inside) and order incredible dishes as the duck and bechamel pouch, foie gras or the sea urchin.

The quintessential Spanish Aperitif experience: ) almost spectacular to watch the staff pop out tasty tapas and pinchos and beverages at the speed of light. Attentive and responsive at the blink of an eye. If you’re in Pamplona, must not miss.

This is a very crowded bar, but if you are lucky enough to snag a table you will enjoy some out of this world tapas. The staff was very friendly and very efficient. I asked the bar tender to recommend the tapas for me and he was spot on.

Recommended to visit this place by my sister. This is an amazing place for tapas. Fast service, very crowded and loud but typical for a good place in Spain. The huevo trufado is to die for, they also have other tapas that you just won’t find in a regular bar like sea urchins, fish meatballs between others. Highly recommend to visit if you are in Pamplona !

Amazing pintxos. You must try the mushroom truffle oil frites. Second have the fried deliciousness with roasted peppers and a glass of the rioja. The fois gras was well balanced with sea salt. It was the best meal we have had in Spain!
