La Cuevita Ayagaures

The Canarian tapas restaurant was one of the best I've ever been to in Gran Canaria. There was a great selection of dishes - both price and portion being right. The staff were very friendly, attentive and quick. In addition, you could communicate relatively well in English - the menu was even available in German. The mountain view, made the food taste even better. I can particularly recommend the garlic prawns - delicious! Getting there is easy and you can definitely find parking nearby. I was more than satisfied and would definitely come back - highly recommended.

After completing the Ayaguras cycle loop, we stumbled upon this gem. Although we unintentionally took the route in reverse, it led us to this delightful restaurant, turning out to be a fantastic surprise! The place exuded loveliness, offering incredible food served with quick, friendly service. Reasonably priced, it boasted a fantastic atmosphere that added to the overall experience.

La Cuetiva is a beautiful restaurant, both in setting and everything else. My partner and I have come here frequently while on holiday and I cannot recommend it enough. The staff are welcoming, attentive, and a great laugh - and the food is amazing (for very reasonable prices!)
You are missing out if you don’t visit!

We ate here twice while on holiday and the food was consistently great. The staff were very very friendly and the location is incredibly beautiful.

If you don't like the touristy hustle and bustle, want to eat without being hassled by peddlers and just want a relaxing extremely good meal in a great place - it's perfect.

Highly recommended if you have a car. It's not hard to find and you can even continue up a little way to the dam to take some nice pics of the valley too.

Large glass of wine, starter, main, desert and coffee cost us around 25€ - 35€ per person. Given quality and portion sizes this was totally reasonable!

Wow, for starters this was exceptional. Had our taste buds singing ... garlic prawns, ham croquettes deep fried cheese, garlic bread + proper no messing allioli & potatoes ... it was truly something special. The mains really had a lot to live up to but couldn't quite compete but nonetheless enjoyable. Steak was thick, requested medium well done but could have done with a little more cooking. Fried fish wasn't that tasty but ordered extra allioli to compensate. Frankly I could bathe in the allioli, it was THE best I've ever tasted. Slight word of warning, the access road is very narrow+ not for the faint hearted BUT if you want wonderful Spanish food its well worth taking your time to suss this restaurant out!!

Generous portions of delicious food. Service is very friendly and going an extra mile for all needs. Restaurant is in the cave overlooking at the mountains next to the very popular bike road.

Great little restaurant cut into the hillside (cave). We ate inside as it was December, but there are also plenty of seats outside. My wife had the goat which was tender and very tasty and I had the T-bone steak which was enormous. Really friendly employees. Would definitely recommend if you are in GC.

I had the pleasure of dining at this small Spanish restaurant, and I was absolutely delighted! The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and the food was simply delicious.

The tapas selection was diverse and freshly prepared. Every bite was a burst of flavor.

The service was excellent. The staff was attentive and friendly, making us feel very welcome.

I will definitely be back to try more of their delicious dishes. This restaurant is a true gem and a must-visit for anyone who loves Spanish cuisine.

Cosy restaurant in a cave. The food was delicious and the staff welcoming and friendly. Everything we had was very good but I especially loved the cheese with jam and our dessert which was a Canarian dessert called polvito uruguayo. Would definitely recommend!

The restaurant is located by the road and has parking spaces available. They have a good selection of food that is delicious. The prices are normal and the staff is very friendly. I recommend a visit.

Great restaurant!! Very good prices, nice looking plates and the food tastes delicious! Clean and easy-to-read menus without pictures and other unnecessary stuff; both in Spanish and English. Also available through the QR-code at the tables.

I recommend the breaded chicken with fries and an aioli for 0.9€ on the side. For pescetarians I suggest you to take the breaded fish which was great as well.

I’ll give an overall 5 stars and I wan you to prosper and have lots of clients

I was on my holidays for a week and I met there with one of my best friends who instead live there from 2 years and he considered this restaurant one of the bests and with the best goats dishes ever

So

I tried the goat dish and indeed was a casserole kind of and was really good , tasty and tender

I ordered also a king prawns dish, this was a Panfried style dish with lots of garlic, nothing wrong with lots of garlic , I love it , but the garlic was introduced in the early stages of the cooking and at the end was burnt and the dish resulted not great

I also ordered the rabbit dish and came with the meat quite tough and not cooked through , there was still blood around the bone so it wasn’t ready when the chef decided to send it out

Overall the service was great

I spoke with a young man and another ( the waitress) even if their English was the best, we were able to understand each others

The restaurant is a super busy place, with lots of clients and I was amazed by the cleanliness, very clean and tidy

The waiting staff is polite and they always smile despite the business
